EPTSure we've got Far Cry : Zelda, four more demon/dark souls, blizzard dota and blizzard team fortress, several more battlefields and cods and stuff, but its been pretty well shown that innovating isn't profitable business, which is why thats mostly left to indie studios to explore and then big corporations to take over.

Bethesda does seem to run on a 3-4 year dev cycle between their major releases of TES and Fallout (except Oblivion to Fo3), so maybe this E3 they show TES6 and release by next year. | ||

Hm, I think botw is good for casual gaming. Because its on switch you can pick it up and put it down, there's no super long dungeons more or less (a lot of shorter ones that takes ~10 mins each), its not overly difficult but its not so easy its boring, you can do longer sessions or you can just do shorter ones, you have a quest tracker that'll tell you where to go... i think so? | ||

On one hand I agree with Comeh that you can easily play the game in short bursts and enjoy all of them. There is no complex storyline that gets confusing if you pause for a week or a month and you really don't have to remember where you were heading the last time you held the console (until after you beat the game maybe and want to min/max everything). It's not a game for completionists though because min/maxing is rather tedious, but not necessary. Personally I haven't finished the end boss yet but played it twice until getting there and still haven't come around to finishing the DLCs. Wherever you go there is more and less meaningful stuff to do and in case you can play a game one (side-)quest at a time (which if you don't look them up can actually take quite some effort) and like to do whatever you want in a game, then BotW is for you. The game is quite difficult though (the stronger enemies at least) and unless you learn to be decent at certain mechanics some areas are rather bothersome to traverse because of them, actually it's mostly just one area, but one you can get to rather early. The game also encourages running away from mobs if they're too strong or just climb that hill and smash / weaken em with a boulder. Anyway, I'd say BotW is a game that hooks you but can be played in 30min intervals as well. | ||

Music isn't as good as Nier:Automata and playing it handheld only I find it hard to keep a good posture while playing. I can't hold the console at face height for long lmao. Especially the latter is just because I've actually got no screen at home right now. | ||

Rabbids it's pretty long if you want to 100%, it's also not that easy, i would say around 30h? maybe more? there's DLC coming so you could get the gold edition also. Mario + Rabbids it's one of the best srpg i've played in years, and that's counting xcom 1/2 and others like banner saga, the movement it's a fucking revelation. | ||
