They have to do due diligence to make sure that the people they are ordering around committed a crime or they have cause. Disobeying a police order is not a crime on its own. It is a misdemeanor if the officer is direction traffic. But they have no power over the two dude if they did nothing wrong. | ||

You are completely correct but I would understand a black individual listening to unreasonable police requests because accidental discharges seem to be very common around them. | ||

I'd guess that she was fired due to the reputational damage Starbucks sustained due to her actions. If they didn't fire her someone would twitter it or something and the company would get even more bad press. Customer dissatisfaction is already a huge no-no for corporations, and in this instance there was implied racism in the mix too, so someone had to be thrown under the bus. Not saying it's fair tho. | ||
