Reforging is always going to give you an ancient 10% of the time while upgrading rares depends on the rarity of the actual item. Bloodshards are decent for armor pieces but not for jewelry or weapons. Check the rarity table. What's the highest GR you can clear consistently in 3 to 5 minutes? Rule of thumb is usually to farm armour and off-hands in Greater Rifts while you farm weapons and amulets in the normal Nephalem Rifts. Rings are a bit of a toss up, personally I just farm them in regular Rifts. If you need specific ancient rolls reforging is generally speaking your best option. | ||

Unless you want to be able to find easy parties then its worth making a character that fits in current meta runs. But as to pure solo play you can make farming and pushing builds on the same character for most classes. For wizard, if you are playing firebird for pushing (either meteor shower or starpact) than it is absolutely mandatory to have some other build for farming. Either a variety of Tal-Rasha builds or another class, but farming on another class is kind of sucky if you are sort of casual because it dilutes your drops substantially for your push class. Firebird is basically unplayable as a t13 or sub GR-90 build imo. Obviously it can kill that stuff but its utterly awful efficiency wise. If you are playing Tal Rasha meteor it is a bit easier. Its a pretty good build for farming GRs, once you have full ancients you should be able to do something in the 85-90 range with a ~5min avg. If you are playing solo you kind of just do that over and over. For t13, both key farming and bounties, you can keep playing tal-rasha meteor if you want, I recommend the following changes + Show Spoiler + Swap Aetherwalker for Death wish. You Don't need the deathwish damage and you arent standing in place chaneling anyways, you want to be able to speedily blink through the whole map. Keep eyes open for good Aetherwalker for this (I kind of lied I have primal one of these too that I use for farming sometimes) In general in t13 I am big fan of running the gold combo. So I recommend getting decent avarice band and running Boon of the Hoarder (drop taeguk you dont stand in place and channel cuz everything dies instantly). If you are still going to be running solo id replace CoE with avarice, (this way you can be super careless and watch stuff on other monitor while farming keys and never die. if you're doing split bounties or something in a group replace the unity. With aetherwalker you wont keep aquila up so drop it from cube, this is where I would put gold wrap to be 100% invincible and not have to worry about ever dieing. Wear Nemesis when key farming 100%. Its optional whether you want to wear them when doing bounties or not, they can be annoying but you will get many more dbs etc. Depending how much RCR you have you can swap storm armor to scramble rune but if you have resource issues keep power of the storm. Its good for bounties though. Strictly speaking a lot of people just make a WoL monk to farm keys tbh, but this is mostly in the realm of where you are running thousands of GRs in party and your party char is not good for solo key farming. You can't really farm for primals, you just farm for full properly statted, well rolled ancients. At the point, the big power creep is to get full augments. (most people who have never full augmented don't realize the huge difference this makes) After that its just paragon grind, which sucks. Besides straight drops, you can use your dbs to upgrade rares. For wizard, I would only use these for jewelry. I have made >>500 rings/necks. + Show Spoiler + I got primal compass rose AND halo of karini but both total garbage. sad days. I did eventually get a basically perfect non-ancient tal rasha neck The only way to target farm specific gear is to do bounties and then reroll in cube. Its mind-numbingly boring to me plus you have to group with shitty randoms but its worth doing to get a good weapon for sure even early in progression. Later in progression when you have full augments etc you end up doing bounties again trying to get gg jewelry or anything else you were unlucky with if you really care, but again I hate them. But I will do a lot in the quest to get a crit/crit/AD compass rose and arcane/crit/crit Travelers Pledge. Very hard to get. Ive also spent >300k bloodshards on offhands trying for a gg etched sigil. Ugh. Dunno in general you just kind of want: speed t13 build that can do normal rifts in 2-3 mins. (sub 2 mins is possible and adds up if you are super tryhard, sub 3 is pretty ez.) Build that can do ~10 lvls GR below your max clear in 5-8 mins easily faster the better, this is your primary farming, gem leveling, paragon etc bread and butter when you are solo. Strictly speaking for gear farm speed trumps GR difficulty lvl generally, for paragon farm its just math but like for me if I could do 8 min 99s or 5 min 90s the 99s are better for paragon, the 90s are better for drops/gems. (basically xp doubles every 9 gr levels). If you have specific questions involving TR-meteor builds I've played that a lot last two seasons. Although I do key farm with EB atm because I can do it with just mouse hand and never touching keyboard so I can drink coffee/watch dota etc. (also my hands/wrists hurt like hell from building nets, I have 2 months of 16hrs a day shrimping staring at me and it seems retarded to put wear and tear on my hands wrists playing diablo xd) I currently have ~r30 clear solo wizard NA (Atreides) if you want to look at my profile or build for that run, I was as high as r6 and still think its top 5 TalRasha clear. But the top is full of starpact group heroes. xd Edit: the guidelines here are specific to wizard cuz there is some class variation, wizard GR builds are not fast. I have extremely good tal-rasha meteor gear full 105 augments, 1400 paragon and even tweaked for farming I can clear basically everything from a 70-95 in the same time 4-5 mins. So wizards suck at speed GRs and you can't really get the 3 min sweet spots many other classes can. But Wizard is a good solo play class in general in my opinion. | ||

(I actually thought they did but liquipedia says they qualified tbh too lazy to verify)The entirety of the season has been this situation where IF a tourney wants to invite a NA team ofc they will invite EG. Most popular, biggest fan base, highest dpc points and “probably” best NA team. I mean fucking IG got inv to DAC. Complain about that shit they were legit awful. “But but but they were defending champs!” Well yeah if you are inviting based on name recognition and past achievements then don’t whine about EG. Ps. EG did not drop a map to a team outside the top 3. Far outperformed several of the invited teams and in general the quals teams from EU, CIS, SA were the totally expected garbage so it seems weird timing to rant about NA bias. I’m sure SEA is the only region that after this tourney can complain about not getting invites. Every tournament gives EU qualifier one slot because the good teams (liquid/secret) are already invited. by dpc points EU and CIS have been the strongest regions all season, but their qualifier teams never do shit. It grossly impacts how many teams you want out of the qualifiers. I mean, if you don't take into account who is getting invites when you assign qualifier slots you are going to piss people off the other direction because CLEARLY you are going to both have awful teams getting in some regions, and good teams not getting in other regions. I guess the point is that historically for all sorts of reason (fanbases, tournament location, wanting the monies, etc) Valve has never not had 2 NA teams (at least) at TI and if none get DPC points I see no way in hell they are changing that. /shrug | ||
