Wasn't Fight Club mostly about the fear of what can happen when people reject materialism and consumerism but have nothing to replace that but some kind of need for fascism and anarchy to fill the need for revenge and control. Caused by the lack of values and direction since the West realized God's kicked the bucket. To me it's like a reminder that while the Age of Enlightenment leading to atheism and to capitalism has done all the good in this world we are lacking on the reason to live department.
So the emasculation is an allegory for all that. Dude loses his balls, the bitch has control of his masculinity with all the dildos and shit and the dude with all the misantrophic shit. But they are all three the same person so if one dies they all die.
Sounds even more relevant today, although that's true for just about all dystopian fiction, maybe I should watch it again. It's been like 15 years so I could be wrong lul.
e. ofc I haven't read the book so I wouldn't know what it's really about

Dexter tv series(no not the animated one for kids) did a serial killer as a protagonist
unfortunately the series ended rather apruptly after 6 seaons
dont think ive ever been as sad as ive been after s4 due to a tv series ((((((((((((((
Reminds me that Dexter season 2 is probably most tense(or top 3) shit i've seen in tv shows. Dexter on his peak was more clutch than miracle has ever been.

e. ofc I haven't read the book so I wouldn't know what it's really about Fight Club is one of the many “Sad white dude with a well paying job, housing and life is sad and goes through a journey to find meaning” that existed in the 1990s. Men didn’t feel manly enough so they engage is self destructive behavior to feel manly and end up hurting people around them. But its fine because they aren’t sad about their middle class existence any more. Fight club is sort of the peak of those films because it goes full cult and Tyler uses the lack of self worth to indoctrinate his followers. There is a quote from a German man who lives through WW2 saying that the movie reminded him how the Nazis convinced young men to become Nazis.
They all seem stunningly tone deft today.

Dunno the fbi and miami metro on bay harbor butchers ass is my absolute favorite from dexter. The ending of trinity killer arc was a shocker though

dokes did nothing wrong
poor dude
the show that did the best job at exploring anti-heroes and people's attraction to them is The Sopranos imo
god damn what a good show
good show, but if it wasn't for Dexter, that ending could easily be the worst ending in a show ever
what ending it only had 6 seasons and then stopped completely
same as that 70's show only having 7 seasons as well
i need sitcom in my life .. i've been actually considering watching cheers
did u watch parks and rec yet if no then watch it if yes go rewatch it
Ok for some reason i completely forgot about parks&rec and the office. And pretty sure i have no problem watching mockumentary style shows since i'm still updated with modern family.
To answer your question i skipped season 1 (like somebody said i forget) then watched like 2 episodes got busy and just remember now
sopranos ending is perfect what are you talking about.
tony dies
parks and rec isnt really a mockumentary after the first season which is only like 6 episodes anyway
