It's even funnier because there's an archaic patch change from season 1 that essentially gave bonus XP for multiple heroes sharing lane creep XP because at the time Riot wanted to make 2-1-2 viable compared to 1-1-2+jungle--and 2 seasons later it ended up contributing to how suppressive 2v1 lanes were. But instead of removing the old mechanic that literally contributed nothing positive to "normal" gameplay scenarios anymore, they decided to add some temporary armor boost to T1 towers to make it not possible to fast-push them in the first few minutes of the game. | ||

And then there is Blizzard, who I really hope just breaks SC2 in some amazing ways and puts in some truely OP shit. The pick up siege tanks is a good place to start. | ||

also let's be real Valve is absurdly lucky to have Icefrog it gives Dota 2 balance decisions so much legitimacy and they don't even have to explain themselves wow so smart. Well no, it was used because there was acknowledged side advantage in the draft (which having a BP 5th game removes) but not side advantage due to the map (which a BP 5th game doesn't do anything for). DotA avoids this because draft advantage and map advantage are separated, and systems for handling BoX series can allow teams to basically pick which one they want so that they partially cancel each other out. This isn't possible in League because, again, draft mode hardcodes blue side to always be first pick. | ||
