Have your GF check if its safe to park there. The largest problem in the city during a storm is plowing and that you can't park on specific roads prior to a storm. Its normally marked.

Plus plows are dicks and will bury your car under a snow bank. But thats less of an issue than getting towed.

hanging with gf in a snow storm is 10x better than with a bunch of dudes

you get bored so you basically drink and have happy happy fun time throughout the storm.

unless you have a kid, then go to your buddy's bc you aint getting none of that.

What a sad view on women, just seeing them as some sort of sex machine and leaving your family behind because you won't get laid. I'm glad I live in Sweden where women are seen as human beings with rights, dreams and opportunities instead of child bearing maids who are suppressed to bend over as soon as their man demands it.

Well I think Bluemoon was referencing the fact that snow storms and power outages lead to a lot of alone time with your significant other. There is evidence to back this up with birth rates increasing 9 months after a large power outage and/or blizzard.

Also, i wouldn't put Sweden above any other country in the EU when it comes to treating women fairly.

I plug in my lamp and the entire half of my room goes out.
Now none of the sockets on the left side of the room work.

Right side works fine.

Breaker didn't switch and the appliances still work if I plug them elsewhere

So does that mean the wiring in the wall is faulty?

If he has a breaker, there shouldn't be a fuse to blow. Unless the socket has fuses in EU, which would be fucking weird and would not explain why the entire side of the room is out.

The article about the abuse of women in EU, not just Sweden, is printed like every 2-3 years. Its an ongoing struggle. Its not like the US is some special snowflake that doesn't have the issue. I would point to Alaska and say we have the exact same problems. The difference is that we are huge and our problems vary from region to region. Where I am from, sexual assault on campus is an ongoing issue.

Edit: Torte, fuses and breakers do the same thing, its just fuses explode/break when they are tripped. Normally it is one or the other, so I would check your breakers again.
