It's not like the players will tell you what kind of pills they're popping backstage. Apart from that, basically non one else who could possibly know has any interest whatsoever in making it public. I'd guess there's a pretty good chance at least some people are doing it though.

whatever honestly shorter tournament = less mental stress = less of a desire to compensate. about a year ago, there was an article highlighting the abuse of amphetamines, but there's about a 0% chance of me remembering the title or where to find it.
you're not wrong about people using it anyway, but i'm not using it as a reason against double elim. im just saying that it will be a natural consequence of a shorter tournament.

You get a game. It can be a fun game to play as it is. It may help the game become even better than it would have been without it. KSP wouldn't have worked nearly as well without it. Now you can even get a refund if its a shit game.

No, you get the promise of a game. What you actually get is a pre alpha most of the time, rofl. Which let's be honest, most of the time remains ass. Also refunds really don't work as an argument, because within the allotted refund time frame you have no way to tell how good the finished product will be.

You don't buy early acess for what the product will be in the end. You buy it for what it is right now. If it's bad right now, you don't buy it. That's not early acess done well.
KSP did well becase it wasn't ass in early acess. People are saying Killing Floor 2 is fine to play as it is. A lot of people like playing Ark as it is.
Dota 2 was basically early acess. Didn't stop people from playing it a lot on its first year.

Ye they "sold" dota2 for the same price they are now rofl. Also what an argument: "If you buy a shitty game you did it wrong". You don't want early access because it gives the devs much less of a financial incentive to get their game working properly. You do buy the final product, you just get to play around with dev versions earlier on. -_-
