There were definitely people talking about an inhouse league, I read the whole conversation, lol.

Anyway, is there an actual demand for amateur tournaments? I mean, you can just queue with a 5 stack in matchmaking and play. After a 2 seconds google search there seem to be quite a lot of amateur leagues and tournaments running, many of them with actual prizes and DotaTV tickets.

Well i am pretty sure amateur people would register if open tournaments get enough exposure, and the whole purpose of it is to get more people on LD right? what would be a better way?

A couple weeks ago there were these threads where you had to win with like 3 different heroes in a day and then you entered a raffle with five thousand other desperate bastards and one of you won a hat. I saw a ton of 1 post accounts in that thread, so that probably introduced this website to new people.

it's funny you mention that because by and large it went unfinished and most who participated are still confused and/or don't even know who won. It was actually, in my eyes, a huge failure.

Ugh, that's kind of awkward. In that case a good suggestion how to get more people on LD would be to make sure shit like that doesn't happen!

edit: I'm being too salty. It looks like liquid has a ton of money now, so I'm sure only good things will happen in the future to LD. Btw, LD is a retarded abbreviation, Lone Druid, LD from BTS, LiquidDota. Ugh...
