Mirana is also her dota 2 name though? I thought we were talking about heroes in dota 2 that are often called different names, which are from from dota 1, but not the same name shared through dota 1 and 2. (although some dota 1 names are mentioned in the dota 2 lore for some heroes)

Nevermore is the one I always have to think twice about. I don't think I call any of the heroes by their silly dota 1 names.

The names thing is just based on whether the heroes have easy-to-remember and easy-to-type names that sound good, otherwise people just tend to initialize
Furion for NP is hilarious on a whole different level because a) the name is not associated with the hero any longer and b) it's actually part of a completely different IP
it's basically the community declaring that furion stormrage is in DOTA2 despite the contrary opinions of valve and blizzard entertainment
I mean there's no reason he couldn't get into DOTA2 he learns teleport after all
