But everyone is charging ridiculous prices for their shithole "it's so hipster, I have brown wooden floors and dim lighting" apartments. Airbnb is such a ripoff.

That sounds terrible in so many ways. The fact that it takes longer to watch the hobbit movies than read the book is pretty telling as well.

Smaug dies in the first 30 minutes, the rest is a glorified battle where key characters die but they drag it out ridiculously.

If you read the book, then the end officially happens after the first 30 minutes

figures. The second movie ended reeeeaaaally close to the end of the book. Id like to see more of gandalf fighting the necromancer tho. cuz thats a cool subplot that the book didnt really explore at all other then to say that gandalf did some badass shit off camera

Hobbit: they invented a love triangle, forced legolas into the movie, made sauron the bad guy of the trilogy...

Felt more like a lotr prequel than being about Bilbo.

Hostels not an option? My friends that moved to london after college stayed in some crappy hostels 6 person room while they waited for the permanent places
