I mean, on the highway it hardly matters right but still. Accellerating on constant RPMs is a WEIRD feeling at first. I drive my mom's SUV once in a while and it's pretty fun. I far prefer manual transmission since I learned on that and my current (and only ever) car is a manual. The best part about the SUV (or autos in general) is not worrying about rolling backwards when stopped on a hill ![]() Also I learned to drive on a manual car with 300+hp so that's probably why I got addicted to manual early on.

that said, it *is* easier. I know I took my driving tests on an automatic even though I always drove standard haha. meh I can alter my own richness pretty easily, whereas it's rather hard to alter how rich my parents were when they raised me. Although I should mention that in a lot of ways I was a rich kid. Just not "learn on my mom's sports car" rich.

Probably an auto. You want to focus on the basics first and if you start on a manual people tend to get too caught up in not stalling or shaking the crap out of the car. Some people can get the hang of a manual quite fast so it's not a big deal, but for some (my brother) it can be quite a hindrance to your development. For example, you don't want to spend your first week of driving sessions learning to go up and down your block without stalling.

If the standard you are learning on is new and does not have a shit clutch, learn on that. If not, then learn on an automatic. But learning to drive standard on a shit clutch can cause you to form a lot of very bad shifting habits. Edit: and was emu said too. Focus on not hitting people.

I don't have a problem with anyone ribbing me I was just saying having a 300+ HP vehicle doesn't mean you're rich. I'm not sure why I can't just say things and not have people think I'm upset or butthurt.
