on the blizzard main page they were doing a redbull event, I guess after the SC2 event ended, Redbull did a Dota thing. They never took the stream down and continued to broadcast dota.

Yeah, I checked r/starcraft, the people on there are fucking dumb, like, Redbull never coincides events, they only do 1 at a time, so who cares if they use a single channel for LOTV/SC2 and Dota?

Yeah, the person who was in-charge of the stream on Redbull's side is to blame since they didn't take the stream down to switch games/failed to communicate between parties.

StarCraft experienced a harsh fall from the heights of e-sports heaven, from being the top dog in BW to playing second fiddle to LoL and Dota 2. While I saw it as an inevitability because MOBAs/ARTS are more accessible and entertaining versus SC2's type of RTS, lot of people have a tribe mentality and can't accept that they aren't getting 100,000 views consistently on Twitch. I can understand their insecurity, but it is very immature and not helping to grow the scene at all. Hell, it even applies to BW vs SC2 where a major sponsor of BW supports SC2 the BW only fans get all scared that they are losing their exclusivity.

tl;dr: Fanboys gonna fanboy, don't be a fanboy it ruins things

A lot of the BW animosity towards SC2 comes from the fact that Blizzard forced the BW pros to switch games and even forced that travesty of a hybrid Proleague.

Otherwise, most were just fine to leave SC2 as it was. Let people enjoy what they will.

Blizzard still sucks donkey balls for trying to kill BW to promote their game that wasn't doing as hot as they hoped.

Eh Blizzard just did what they needed to do legally to sell their game in Korea and protect their IP. Kespa and the broadcasters got to use the license for free for years and should have known it was coming. Don't really feel bad for kepsa, maybe a little bad for BW fans if they were super invested.
