Let me know how that works out. I want to learn that hero because you can play him so lean and mean.

earth shaker actually p6 yes i don't play support lol but i willingly played support last game
although steam fucked up and randomly dc'd everybody now we have a 5 stack .from 2 stack .. it's cm i hope our drafter picks me ES
|
Shaker is also fun and one of my favorite heroes. I am horrible with him, but I love his singular purpose game play. I want to try the Ignore Fissure Forever build that PPD/Sumail have been doing.

ES is easy, since it's a 5 stack, just sit behind mid or roam and gank; then again, I play a very selfless ES, I'll be sub 6 at 15-20 minutes some games, lol

ES feels like a fun hero .. feels like you can do anything with the hero even become the forth core
do you lead the aggression as ES ? or do you become lane partner ? the game i played as ES felt so weird for me i didn't know what to do .. stack or go gank or save some lane but then again i never support anymore
i ended up not doing anything lol

depends on the game, but i've often seen him as a counter initiator. when the enemy team groups up around a hero (and are not paying attention to how clumped they are), once you have blink you jump in and get off a huge salami.
alternatively, if the enemy is pushing a tower, sometimes you'll be the first one to jump in and your team will follow.
fissure blocks in the laning phase mean that youre usually the first person to go.
ummmm..standing behind mid, sometimes you wanna be there just to block off any aggression, so you're playing defensive.
can't think of any other scenarios ATM

Not that it isn't important, but between certain points you're all the same anyways.
[quote] Yes because that is exactly what I said. 10/10 reading comprehension again cynic. Physical aptitude is one of the lowest requirements to being 'good' at a sport. It helps, but most sports are considerably more technique than they are pure physical ability If you don't know how to kick a ball it doesn't matter how strong you actually are? Have you ever played a sport? How is this difficult? I'm legitimately curious. Someone who doens't know how to kick a ball while still manage to propel it further than someone whose muscles have atrophied completely. Once again you fail at basic logical reasoning. The vast majority of people have at least a basic concept of how to play a sport, where as very few are at the pinacle of human physical condition. I can assure you that very few people actually know how to kick a ball. Believe me I've seen enough of the average player to understand that. Again, have you ever even played a sport? Because I'd love to know where your "knowledge" is coming from. Also the extremes in your example are hilarious btw. While managing to be completely irrelevant to this conversation. You were the one who started with the extremes, I'm not sure why were even having this discussion when you claim thing slike "most people dont know how to kick a ball". I've played sports pleny of times before and I can confirm, people are indeed capable of performing the basic game actions. I suppose since we're still here "Physical Ability" in the way I am using it means the raw power of the person in question. I am using it just as their basic physical stats (speed, strength, stamina, etc.) "Technique" on the other hand for me is the ability to actually do the thing you're set on doing. Obviously the first is important, but saying that it is more important than the miniscule differences in the second is absolutely ridiculous. In fact I'd say that mental ability (knowing what you're supposed to do, and where you're supposed to be) is also more important than physical ability in sports. You can see this simply by the amount of time that any pro spends on each of the things. Technique is far and away the most worked on thing for all athletes. There is a reason that sports have all of those stupid little drills for players. Because those teach you how to do the basics of the sport that you simply can not make up for with raw power. You absolutely have to have the technique down or else you're not worth anything. Please see Chad Johnson playing in MLS as an example. Peak physical condition (at the time he was probably the most physically gifted receiver in the NFL), basic knowledge of the game (played in high school, and maybe college), 0 chance of ever playing above the training team. Now then, if you're seriously going to continue to argue that physical ability trumps technique then I guess we can continue, but I'd really rather not. So 99% of athletes quit by the time they're 35 because their obtained finesse and skill have magically gone away when you pass that age threshhold? We can continue to do this, but you're only making a fool out of yourself if you keep repeating that professional athletes are not so far removed from the physical condition of a normal person that it's not even funny anymore. Holy fucking shit are you incompetent? Like seriously did you not read a word of what was said? Honestly please, please for the love of god, please fucking try to rub the brain cells in your head together long enough to understand this. THEY CAN PLAY TILL THEY ARE 35 BECAUSE TECHNIQUE IS WHAT MATTERS. 35 IS NOT PEAK PHYSICAL CONDITION. NOT IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. So we're back to the point where physical condition matters so much that people who are at ~80% are incapable of competing?
Competing for #1. Guys like Figo could continue playing in some other team, but he couldn't continue at Inter. He would be certainly a main Sporting player if he so wished, and even compete for the Portuguese championship, but for a guy that has already won everything, why bother?
It is as Aui_2000 said, people retire because of motivation.

I think the theory is that fissure scales like shit for damage and stun duration, but lasts the same amount of time no matter what level it is. So if your relying it to block the retreat, its just as good level 1 as it is level 4. So they get one level and invest the rest aftershock at totem for farming jungle camps faster, getting their ult at standard times. I am sure it totally game specific, but is was different than from how I normally build him.

Fissure Damage: 125/175/225/275 Stun Duration: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75
Aftershock Damage: 50/75/100/125 Stun Duration: 0.6/0.9/1.2/1.5
i guess you are right p6 .. yeah looks like maxing 3rd does almost the same damage as maxing first and it has longer duration
e: i should take this to ES thread and ask people there too
|
its only true if you're standing right next to the target which is sub optimal before blink
|
Yes, aftershock has a 300 radius around ES, so yeah. Also I have only seen them doing it pub games, which means they might just be using it to fuck around or get their blink dagger that much faster.

anyone watching WCS? my interest in LotV has sparked me to watch..pretty good TvT between Polt and Bunny. going to game 5 now.
|
polt rekt bunny
would have been nice for a foreigner vs korean grand finals
|
I haven't but it does seem exciting. LotV really looks fun and I haven't seen any game with that 3 base death ball gameplay when I watch streams.
Also this dark futre of str morphling is great. I am watching one with a mjolnir and building an AC. Its like 2.7K HP of stupid.

Tank drops look pretty fun, but idk I think I'm still just going to keep playing bw. The direction SC2 is going in seems to be just adding spells to all your units make fights less deathball v. deathball but that feels like a really one dimensional way to go about it. Nothing in SC2 makes me feel like terrain/position matters at all except for tanks and force fields.
