You see casters switch between games all the time but when a caster starts off from a game and stayed with it for many years it is a betrayal to some. Now, in the case of Tobi he started off casting CS and CoD before Dota anyways so it isn't a betrayal, more a return to roots. In Destiny's case he ranted on Lycan's talkshow about how certain community figures who stepped away from SC2 would return to LotV casting, community activism, playing, etc all for the money and as soon as LotV falters would quit and take all their bucks away and never contribute. Some of those people were the same guys who were praising Blizzard and never gave criticism but turned away during BL/Infestor or when SC2 was not the same. The irony of it is that Destiny did the same with LoL after he quit SC2 but justifies it by saying he was honest about it at least.

im sure there are many out there like me so why does it surprise people that someone else, who is a human being (and not a demi-god like the sc community worshipped day9), would have the same feelings?

Edit: Also I remember loving SC2 because I only could blame myself. You don't need to deal with anyone else and that is appealing. The losing in 7 minutes because you missing a single thing scouting an no chance of recovering from an all in, not so much.

I really like SC2 a lot, but the community is often like having acid thrown in my face over and over. Some people just can't accept change or want other e-sports to do well. So recently Sonic's business Sbenu sponsored GSL and most people were happy, one of BW's most passionate community figures are supporting SC2, advertising his league, get BW more exposure and GSL gets more funding. A vocal few found it a betrayal and Sonic reducing his support for Sonic Starleague and didn't want Sonic to support GSL. Something about the Starcraft community just has this pathetic sense of "we were #1 e-sport, no one can touch us and if they switch games we are betrayed." I can understand it's been 17 years of BW starting today and is an emotional history for some but if they can't accept the inevitability of change they will let their scene die.

The game was more fun before the community made it all "balanced" and boring.

I never got up to big air because usually all ressources went into Scouts. They're OP when you're 10 years old or so.
