house of lords used to be straight out OP 100 yrs ago, they could block anything that came out through the house of commons indefinitely and cos they were like all conservative it was impossible to get liberal laws passed and shit. it got changed so they could only block something 3 times tho | ||

sidenote I had to teach my parents what 'nerfed' meant a few years ago after I accidentally used it discussing how ridiculous filibusters are in the US (and that they need to be nerfed). They thought it was hilarious and loved it and tried to use it a few times like old people are wont to do lol oh and afaik you have to take swimming like everywhere in public school in the US lol. Some colleges used to require it too apemother's stream seems really nice ^^ playing CHVRCHES and invoker and talking notbad | ||
