I abandoned ship quite early so didn't get so see everything and I was never on the flaming team so dunno how it was. But wonder if we should reinforce rules a bit harsher. i mean to be honest my win with you was pretty sour since you complained like 2-3 times after the game how the team (incl. me the lich) wouldn't group up and risked losing you the game... like i said before, i didn't think we would've lost even if it dragged another 10 minutes (unless those 10 minutes involved heavy feeding), but you seemed so impatient and salty over not being 100% efficient with the win. it also just made me hyper conscious of my own play in a clearly winning game and also vicariously salty at others (the lesh? idr) just because we weren't grouped 100% of our uptime... i don't like feeling that uptight over an inhouse game... oh also your "stop dying" comment after literally my 2nd death off of like an equal trade, the first being a 1 for 1 trade with gold spent also soured the game for me. like i'm aware we're running a cheese comp that needs to be way ahead of the opponent and take raxes by a certain time, but god you're soooooooo uptight... we didn't "almost lose" and you repeating it 3 times after we won left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. i'd rather lose with ran tbh, so long as i can hear him voicechatting Feel like we have pretty different perspectives on that game. Because I was having a pretty good game and I got Ran's bottle. So I was in a pretty good mood.
The only thing I can interpret as salty from that game was the "please stop dying" comment and that wasn't aimed at anyone specifically. But there were some very unnecessary deaths and I didn't say anything for like the first 5 of them.
Then yes I asked people to group up and push. As you said we were on a clock because our team relied on pushing with Necro. AA got an aghs which massively reduces his effectiveness and I think with one-two decent RPs we would have lost that. We were already starting to lose fights. I was just leading the team so we were on the same page on what we should be doing. I really don't understand how this could be salty especially since we often are asked to help the rest of the team with directions..

best shroomed doc game of all time: + Show Spoiler +
It's long but absolutely worth it I swear.
(it's supposed to link to the third game of the set at around 20 minutes in if you're on mobile)

it was more the comments afterwards that were pretty much complaining about our incompetence that soured it for me. i don't mean to imply i mind "group up" directives during the game.
i guess something feels off to me about the desire to close out the game as efficiently as possible too... it was clear dire was having a super rough game with the 6 death gyro; i wouldn't have been opposed to losing a few fights and creating more tension for the sake of fun... of course this goes against the "once you're in the game you try as hard as you can" philosophy but idk a clowny loss is sometimes more fun to me than a well-executed win against a team that feels like they're sandbagging, what with hightime "i go for bounty rune no matter what" dota

I don't know how anyone could take tlih games seriously enough to actually get worked up. I mean if you want "good" games, matchmaking is obviously gonna do a better job finding them for you then an in-house with 3-4k MMR disparity between players.
Don't sign up for tlih if you arnt prepared to keep your cool throughout a shitty hour long game because that is a possibility.

Clearly not enough people were on teamspeak and I wasn't there to keep shit light.
|
You should go into TLIH knowing the odds of you having a fairly low to average MMR player is pretty high and not everyone is there to practice seriously or show off their pro MLG skills. Whole point of them is to get LD to play as a community and have some fun, if you enter thinking your 2.5k MMR support will place wards perfectly, set up ganks like a 5k or your 3k carry will have 600 GPM, you've entered the wrong lobby.

im pretty sure i got shouted at when i first played tlih lol

i feel like people have repeated these points a buncha times now to no one in particular
|
i was the one who asked what all the TLIH drama was about

It's keeps happening. We have a couple good weekends and then people go all try hard and the flaming starts. It's also the folks that are middle of the pack, good enough to think they don't need advice.

i honestly think the problem of a questionable atmosphere would've been easily solved if most people just used teamspeak. apparently there was a skype session ran was on, but wasn't letting in plebes?

It's Ran. The man brings more to any inhouse game than any of us and keeps shit light. And I seem to see a very large section of the thread pointing out the short comings of for favorite Frenchman.
Edit: of ya'll weren't on team speak, you messed up the first part of TLIH.
