Getting a higher rank in team games in SC2 is relatively easy.

I had a KR account back in the day when I played and the overall meta / playstyle was always significantly different. KR players had far better mechanics on avg from what I recall which opened up a lot of multi-task / harass builds.

Also there’s at least a full rank of disparity between NA/KR. I remember trying way more to barely get into low masters on KR while easily being borderline GM ranked on NA. No idea if that still remains true today tho.

I wouldn't necessarily say the skill level is too different between KR and EU specifically (as a shitter my opinion is automatically invalid anyway) but rather that the playstyles are just quite different. No idea about NA though.

how's dragoon feel so far? ive leveled my lancer to 21 but havent really bothered since

Biggest issue with dragoon is that you don't get a single AoE ability until like 40 or so (maybe 45?).

Yeah, the group I joined calls it the 'floor tank'

You have really good single target damage and it trivializes a lot of the single player stuff, but you are super prone to dying if you forget that you're actually DPS and not as tanky as the MSQ makes you feel.

Then again I'm just bad at pressing buttons, so that doesn't help.

Also it is 40 for the AoE. 45 is the jump forward.

That's the issue with a lot of melee jobs pre-50 honestly. DRG has the meme of being the floor tank because of server ticks and animation lock, which has eased, but you can still kill yourself in hilarious ways, like a boss centers themselves out of an arena while you use Dragonfire Dive or Spineshatter Dive and you just fall off the edge.

As a rotational, it's the easiest melee at 80, it's chaos thrust into fang/claw into full thrust, sprinkling in your jumps.

I mained Samurai in Stormblood as I liked the priority system they had. In Shadowbringers (what a fucking expansion btw, you're in for a treat with the main story), I initially played DNC but then swapped to BLM and eventually SMN. Cleared first tier of raid content but quit before second tier was released. I miss the game though.

I had the impression that the DRG rotation is quite fixed and didn't like the idea of that, though the job aesthetic looks amazing.
