I just get a little bit frustrated when I look at, well, everyone in the game at ~35 minutes peaking at 100 cs or so. I know that's not always indicative of anything but even so I'd imagine I should have a bigger impact on the game with how much farm I tend to get. Is it just my stubbornness with my hero? Or maybe I should do something completely differently in the games where we're losing ... I think that up to date there's only been one game where I feel like I've made a pretty large difference after a bad start(I think I ended that 10-5). One thing I've learned is that against a pushing lineup it's absolutely crucial to get a super fast Battle Fury.

The entertainment value he provides makes him the best streamer around Tossing a Centaur for the stomp is awesome, maybe HOTD Tiny will become standard~

Furion is my go to IREALLYWANTAWINRIGHTNOW hero atm plus I feel dirty playing Lycan or Anti-Mage. Not a huge fan of SingSing personally although I can see the appeal(its a matter of taste really), Blitz his stream I find nice,Synderen's too.

She is actually a force to be reckoned with even on low levels thanks to her extreme chasing abilities. If your team has an upper hand in early teamfights you should participate in them a lot. But if you really want to feel like you influenced a game you should pick some mid game semicarries. Qop, NS etc. Or go for roaming supports, nothing like winning 3 lanes at a time (ES, VS, Veno)

I instalock Phantom Assassin every game and have ~50% winrate at the moment after around 30 games. I don't really have a lot of experience having a support or someone not trying to take my lasthits but the 3 times I've had one we've won easily, maybe that'd help. Or maybe I should do something completely differently in the games where we're losing ... I think that up to date there's only been one game where I feel like I've made a pretty large difference after a bad start(I think I ended that 10-5). PA is ridiculously farm dependent, ranking up with Spectre and Void for uselessness without farm. I mean if you like playing the hero I won't say STOP PLAY SKELE KING COS U CANT CS or something, I love playing Spectre in my low level pubs. If you really really want to play hard carries and be effective, you'll have to queue with at least one friend to lane with you in the safe lane, with said friend being all nice and babysitting you, making space for you to farm. This is probably the most important element and it can be really frustrating in pubs because people will either at best not ward or pull (if you do get a support who does such, commend the ass off them!) and at worst fight you for farm or at the very worst autoattack creeps. You probably noticed during TI2 how much of the game is dedicated to keeping the hard carry safe and letting them get up items in a timely manner. In pubs, its really hard to make a comeback from a few deaths or just mediocre farm in the early game because oftentimes you will not be afforded the intervening time to catch up - you are rolling the dice to see if your team of random pubbers can play defensive, fight by towers, protect you and not get picked off. Most of the time they will scream at you to take part in teamfights or suicide push towers when you have boots and Perseverance. The sad bit is that if you do get space to farm, it usually means that your team is crushing or at least has a comfortable lead which can lead to that feeling that you didn't actually contribute much to the game at all,,,,(at least I get that in my Spectre games) All that said, hone dat CS'ing (if you are regularly missing creeps, you aren't doing your job, you might be as well off feeding!), carry TPs at all times to look for opportune times to switch lanes for farming or picking up a few kills under your towers. + Show Spoiler + Please tell me if I am just telling you things you already know, I'm not trying to insult your intelligence/skill ><

Even so, I feel like I get pretty decent farm, generally over 40 by 10m even if someone's trying to steal lasthits(Because they suck) and in good games it's usually above 200 by 30min. Not that close to that in the games where I have a terrible start, though. I guess I'll just try to farm better, take part in gank assists or small skirmishes near me, and largery ignore my team and look for opportunities to gank... And also should probably have better map awareness in order to avoid getting ganked. I wonder if I should ward myself if no one does that.. -.-

I highlighted the problem for you :p pa is not made to have a large impact on the early-mid game, which is where most pubs are decided. if you want to up your winrate and your just gonna instalock a hero, pick lycan.

You'd actually be surprised how effective midgame gank-oriented builds like Urn+Aquila+Diffusal or Janggo+Yasha can be on Spectre. The Radiance farm-like-a-madman style is "safer" in a competitive setting, but it's actually perfectly reasonable to play Spectre toward a faster-paced game. She's not as good as the heroes that actually suit that kind of play, but it's perfectly playable in pubs. PA's even worse than that because she's not even that good midgame even with those kinds of midgame-oriented builds.

One thing I've learned is that against a pushing lineup it's absolutely crucial to get a super fast Battle Fury. I know you like to play carries from the LoL forums, and there are definitely better carries for low level play than PA. PA is really fun and she does decently by herself in lane because of her dagger skill, though she is also more level-dependent than other carries and requires a bit more to actually get into real hard-carry mode than many other carries. I've found I need Phase Boots, Bfury and BKB to actually safely dive into my opponents in an engagement bigger than like 2v2. Anti-Mage and Lycan and perhaps Syllabear are probably better if you want to farm all day. Lycan farms lanes well because he essentially has 3 auto-attacks, not to mention jungling lycan notoriously difficult to stop from farming. Anti-Mage requires only a Battlefury to get to a point where he is impossible to stop from farming. There are also really easy carries to play like Sven, Drow, and Huskar. Lycan is also pretty damn easy. Just switch from instalocking pa to instalocking lycan and watch as you win games lol.

I know that when she was first introduced, people used her as a ganker, with haunt + dagger looking like a gankers kind of skillset. I've seen that Spectre build before on stream and when it works it is something to behold. That said out of every element of my mediocre skills, my ganking is beyond terrible, like embarrassingly terrible. I should try that build though, maybe it'll help :D

If you're a carry and they're asking you to defend a tower that's bound to fall, then ignore them. If you're a support and they're asking you to defend a tower that might survive if you were there, then go do it. But don't instalock PA.. there are better heroes to pick from.
