1/ They requires solid mechanic to grow and be played to their full potential. By mechanic i mean mini map awareness and last hitting. Try last hitting a lone in a 1v0 game at mid for 10 mins, if you have around 60-70 CS(not counting deny) then you might be able to play a carry hero. Minimap awareness is to spott out farming location on the map. In order to do this, you need to understand the basic of creep wave behavior based on lane, spells, pull, timing, ganker position etc... This is much more complicated compare to LoL simply due to the map design(juke/pull spot), game mechanic or simply the size of the map is massively bigger. 2/ They dont feel satisfy if you play them in lower skill level. In fact, you will probably never be able to reach the item requirement for an Antimage or a broodmother to ever kill anyone. Game at lower tier often end up with heavy pusher such as Leshrac, Krobelus pushing down your tower really early on, cause you to lose map control and things just sstart rolling down the hill from there. Newb often get bored really fast playing carries simply bc they cant really contribute to team and most oftenly feed in teamfight bc of their heroes's squishy-ness. Here are my proposal on heroes that newb should be playing: 1/ All hero that Pyrion flax made a video guide about. Seriously, that guy is a complete newb and he enjoy the game through out those heroes, you must be too. Here is the link 2/ Heroes that has good nuke and good escape mechanic. Good example would be Queen of Pain, Bounty Hunter, Rikimaru, Sand king etc... There heroes works pretty much on every level of the game, their effectiveness does skill up at the top high end of skill level but they dont scale down too much in lower league. Playing these heroes will give you fun, fundamental knowledge introduction into the game play mechanic etc.... 3/ Gimick combination of heroes that could help you and your friend rape noob. Try running Dark Seer and Brood mother on a same lane with your friend, put ionshell on the brood and hug the enemy. It might look extremely broken to most of the newb out there. 4/ Heroes that has good farming mechanic that replace your lack of last hitting skill: Nature Prophet, Dark seer, Enigma(check a guide on this), Axe,... 5/ Lastly, easy support heroes that doesnt really take any skill to play(doesnt mean that they are bad, some are extremely good): Lich, Dazzle, Venomancer, Tide....

? It is like 3:30~pm here in Aus so I guess it's pretty late over there in the US. So weird though, Valve haven't really dropped a beat before when putting up a blog when there has/hasn't been a patch

*gg life* I dont think patch gona come anytime soon. As we see from pictures from TI2, they are still twitching meepo model wise and there could be a DotA patch(not dota2, dota1) on the way so they could just wait for the big patch to be fully coded on dota2 to implement them all together.
