Even so, I feel like I get pretty decent farm, generally over 40 by 10m even if someone's trying to steal lasthits(Because they suck) and in good games it's usually above 200 by 30min. Not that close to that in the games where I have a terrible start, though. I guess I'll just try to farm better, take part in gank assists or small skirmishes near me, and largery ignore my team and look for opportunities to gank... And also should probably have better map awareness in order to avoid getting ganked. I wonder if I should ward myself if no one does that.. -.-
You should judge your farm by when you get your items namely your battlefury timing. If you get 40 cs in 10m but die you're actually worse off than if you only got 30 cs but played safely and didn't die. The numbers you're putting up can be very misleading.
If your teammates aren't buying wards then the chances of them counter ganking are also non-existent so there really isn't much point. It could be nice to know what rune the mid picks up and how cautious you need to be, but delaying your battlefury is going to increase your chances of losing even more. Just another reason you should play a carry with an escape mechanism though.

When pubs scream at you to do things, mute them and then decide what's best. If you're a carry and they're asking you to defend a tower that's bound to fall, then ignore them. If you're a support and they're asking you to defend a tower that might survive if you were there, then go do it.
But don't instalock PA.. there are better heroes to pick from.
I like PA, though.
So I played a game where I tried to improve upon every point(Always carrying TPs, better map awareness and playing safe, better lasthitting...) I actually had a Lone Druid laning with me for some reason but luckily he kept autoattacking so I got lasthits pretty decently, had about 45 at 10min and got Battle Fury around 18min. After that I just ignored my team and farmed even though we were a little bit behind, only picking up free kills and KSing, and well.. I believe I managed to be a factor in this game: + Show Spoiler +
So I'd say that that was some good advice that definitely helped, thanks alot~!
Started Dota2 seriously about a week ago, played like 15 matches in total the last 4 months. Coming from HoN it felt a bit clunky, but the bigger community and client made me switch. Now I havent played SC2 for a week, just hopped on for a game to take a break from dota 2 and it was so awesome. Everything moves so smooth in sc2 compared to dota 2. It really is my biggest complain about dota 2. In hon/sc2 it feels so much better to just move around...
too much USA if you compare the actually ratio of the NA and EU scene. It would be nice if they do run an open bracket and get 1 or 2 teams in for seeding however. I would like to see some rising stars like fnatic or WhA to compete and see how they do. Also it would be interesting how mouz line up would be in this tournament and who EG will get to cast it. Afaik this gona be run on twitch and tobi isnt allowed to be casting on twitch.

its the mechanic of the game to have unique turning rate and attack angle for each different units. It has always been like this since war3 despite using war3 engine(blizzard created). A lot of people agree that it does add more depth into the game, just like how you play BW and know the acceleration of shuttle/dropships.

i agree some things could use finesse but you have to remember some of the character movements (turning, attacking etc.) are purposefully delayed, animated for balance issues. HoN was really broken with the instant turn etc., just look at flint vs sniper. You could never kite and destroy with sniper like you can on flint, and flint was 10000x better than sniper for that reason alone.
A friend dragged me to LoL for a week or so, and the first game of dota 2 after that little break did feel slightly....off I guess. But after 2-3 games it just felt perfectly right to play my wizards. God damn I love me some invoker/rubick, to the point where I can last hit and animation cancel without even looking at the model cause the timing is just so ingrained.
It's like goon micro I guess, or that stupid riding a bike thing. Once you REALLY know how to do it, you'll never forget.

Oh god goon micro was so horrid at times, especially haivng to avod using stop otherwise they can get stuck and bug out.
Invoker is such a blast, gotta get down the muscle memory of the skills again. Rubrick is one of the heroes I have been wanting to play more with but I usually stick to just SD so can't always use him.

For some issues (like server, graphical, etc) the beta reference can be used. But DotA 2 being glossed over as just being in beta does not really work anymore.
