Just wait till people from playdota or joinDota or gosugamers or NADota start hopping over. TL moderators are going to have to work overtime.

Apparently there is rumor that TongFu team was in a very bad mood even before they play Navi which then lead to their poor performance(and a flame between team manager and the reporter). Also a part of the dialog say something about DK.Burning play a really bad CK so DK most likely wont be using CK strat this tournament. If anyone on our forum could confirm the translation, some of those detail could be huge for teams playing in TI2. Burning has always known to play a really mediocre/bad CK. Same with Hao/Sylla, Zhou/Furion. Their playstyles just aren't adapted to those heroes and you can clearly notice it in those games

I do not think this site will quite measure up to other sites such as joindota. It is not to discredit Tl or anything, but it is due to resources and well, the choice of site itself. The other sites focus primarily on DotA 2, vods, news, streams, etc. all there, even on front page. I like more people coming here, at least it will make things even livelier.
DotA 2 is looking even better now, can't wait to see how things further evolve here.

terrorblade mentions make my heart warm. Nothing beat terrorblade rush skadi when I was a clan tda dota newb.

Terrorblade was added to -CM pretty recently, I think in either 6.73 or 6.74, so I have no idea how teams actually tested him and would like to see if teams can make him a useful hero, unlike his previous version. I don't remember if Troll was even added/removed from -cm when they removed blind, but still, both of them turned out better than they used to be. If we can see Mortred used in Dota2, they may also have a place in the game.

nadota is such a flaming pile of crap good god, may that day be delayed as much as possible

pretty old bug, just reset dota2 if you get it, worst case reinstall it.
I am confused on Terrorblade and troll bc i played them pretty much less than 10 games after they were remade so i have really no clue how much impact they have in the current meta game. Did tried out troll and things did not change much, i heard terrorblade new skill made him really useful now aday but i figure it was just some effect that HoN meta game might applied back to dota at that time (maliken or someshit?).

True. Troll and TB are in the .74c -cm list. Troll has seen some playtime in the SEA scene, mainly as a surprise carry/semi-carry jungle. His Axes skill are very good, and both versions (range and melee) have an added status (slow and blind). TB I''m having a hard time seeing being useful. I don't believe I've seen TB used yet in a competitve DOTA game. After his remakes.
EDIT: Sorry, should've made it clearer.

Terrorblade had a phase of beeing picked/banned quite often in 2008 .

Dota 2 has micro. I think it has to do with just how important it is. In SC, sure micro can mean losing 1 marine less or kill the extra drone but in Dota 2 losing the micro can mean death leading to a huge gold swing etc. People shit on the micro in dota 2 but I think it is there and the stakes in it are higher. As for macro...well teamplay and coordination is a good substitute. It was a troll post. Both the 'Oh micro, where art though?' and 'The elephant in the room' titles are articles written about SC2. We are joking that someone should write them for Dota2. But those articles written about SC2 had more than a shade of truth in them. Maybe I fail to see the "trollish-ness" in the post. =(. Too many newbies, LoL deriders and ignoramuses running amok now that Dota 2 has been unleashed on the site. Getting snappy at the idiocy. As much as the fanbois on either side may not wish to acknowledge... LoL and DotA are far closer games then you would expect. It's very interesting how the dynamics inside of them actually work. But this is veering dangerously into the territory of a LoL v the world flame war. Best to be avoided. I did however once write a large piece about the nature of competitive games and what it means to be competitive. For example, Counterstrike is about micro with no macro. Supersmash Bros has no resource or economy management. Starcraft has no team play. LoL/DotA have lowered apm requirements. Yet none of these games are failures in the competitive sense. Sadly the article never really had a place any where so I scrapped it. But perhaps it might find a home elsewhere in exploring what truly makes a competitive eSport. Now, here's a question I have for you guys. With the unreleased champions like Medusa, Pheonix and Tuskar how would they impact the current hero pool? That is, what do they provide that currently isn't available? For example, the introduction of Naga offered strong and flexible teamfight control and setup while still being a good carry.
Of course they are closely related, one is after all a spinoff the other. I dont think anyone would argue over the similarities. It is the differences that lead to confrontation. As for your article, competitiveness is the interaction between humans. Being better than your peer is the goal with the game merely being the means.

Anyone know which prelim games were casted by 2gd?

god could it be that if you play in pairs you get more retards in your team?
me and buddy both are decent. we win games, we usually have really really good early but like evrytime once midgame starts we get raped cause the other lanes are terrible and the rest of the team just does random bullshit.
seems like there are much less super idiots when we play alone -_-

^full stack or no go. You always have a chance to get insanely noobish people to fill in your remaining slots in team.
I have been doing alot of 3/4 stack lately and it is certainly better than just me and mate queuing together. But the thing is you need have good players in your team otherwise game will be very tough because you always matched against good players when you are playing in stack.

meh... we are usually playing high/very high bracket. how can it be that in there we have total noobs that cant even play sk somewhat decently(never stun on lane, when at 100hp before death stuns a creep). why do they end up in games like that?

what is terrorblade like now he was remade? O_O T_T

Pretty sure they aren't counting some of the streams such as from the chinese. Plus this is only the prelims.

It may be the first time they played the hero. They may be having an awful day. They may have been carried by a friend and is now trying a diferent role solo. They may be drunk. They may be messing around. There are plenty of reasons that may happen, but a "total noob" won't reach the very high skill bracket. He has to have games where they played decently. Everyone has games where they look awful to be honest.
