Ok, wonder what's going to happen next tl;dr: Sayuri held a charity event for Child's Play. Hilger noticed some funds that went into her account instead of the one laid out by gosugamers. There was a widget for 1300 on the gosugamers account, and 2200 for sayuri's personal paypal account. Sayuri retaliates by claiming the 1300 on gosugamers went to the charity, but nothing was said about the rest of the 2200 which is now the source of controversy, and no outgoing payments were seen on sayuri's account to the charity. | ||

These sort of things always worry me. DotA 2 may seem large, but it is still at the beginning of its reign. Having these sort of things that are tied with DotA 2 scene does not help at all. If there is bad press, sponsors may not be as willing to give money if there is a potential for the scene to become drama filled. I'd rather not have this sort of stain on DotA 2 (especially with regards to a charity) so early in its E-sport progression. For myself, if one cares enough about the games scene, they should care about matters that can give bad PR. Sc2 has more ground to stand on since its been out for longer. It can handle drama to an extent but even that scene has to be weary and can be susceptible to bad PR that may drive new fans away (and sponsors). | ||
