As long as we don't spoil the jokes, you will enjoy the movie in every way.

Chuan is streaming right now and the counter says he has 140000 viewers which I find kind of insane. That's more than most tournaments and more than this years TI before main event. Is the counter broken or is Dota 2 really that popular in China?

SPOILER ALERT they kill the bad guy and save the galaxy. hope i didnt ruin it 4 u

Many chinese streamers have broken 200k over the past few days. That is, if you assume douyuTV are reporting the viewers correctly. It does seem to be the case if you factor in the amount of donations given (which are limited in supply).

People love the Dota in China and the pro's recently got on air. It could also be a combination of that, bots and maybe some numbers inflation. Its not like we know how accurate twitch numbers are.

Every time Na'Vi or EG play, or there's a LAN going, the viewers were higher. Also, these numbers are Chinese viewers and western viewers combined, because of the new streaming platform. And ZSMJ had over 250k a couple days ago.

WPC finals on 17173 were almost 300k, and LongDD there is usually over 50k, so all Chinese platforms should fake the viewnumbers

That movie will never get made. if the protagonist doesnt murder the fuck out of the bad guy at the end then the script will never get past preproduction. I would like to see an action movie with a compromise between opposing forces without exaggerated comic concepts of good and evil but it will never happen.
well i guess the matrix had that. but we dont count revolution.

FYI, iceiceice decided to test how many real viewers were watching him, so he told them to go watch Lin's stream. In under a minute he pulled over 10,000 people over before he found a match.

I'm not sure how or why he got this weird following on reddit and other social media, but he's legit one of the most cancer retard heroes in dota. I just imagine everyone bothering valve to release techies never played dota 1 and think he sounds cool in concept. In reality, if you get a techie on your team, you're about 90% chance to lose before the horn blows. He's truly a nightmare.
because they never played dota 1 everyone who played, except the 5% who really likes to play the hero knows hes more cancerous than tinker but techies fad will die faster than meepo, i can guarantee

i think techies is gonna be one of those heroes that I will never get bored of. like old earth spirit. rip

It's generally accepted among Chinese netizens that the viewer count on douyou is inflated by a factor of 4 or so

Color me surprised, a brand new streaming service we know very little about has inflated numbers. Next thing you'll tell me that those Twitch numbers are not accurate either.

it did exceed my expectations as i thought it was going to be garbage from the trailers i also thought chris pratt was more annoying than he was funny but i guess that's just me

I can say that twitch numbers are accurate for low numbers(less than 5k probably).

does anyone still have the link to that thread with the translation from chinese about the TI4 playins?

While twitch reporting tends to be close to accurate, there are well-documented cases, more notably of Riot Games, of people and companies botting to inflate the viewer count, which twitch has trouble with aside from reporting it

I'm genuinely curious about that.
