A couple of points early for jungling to blink, sure, but by the time you're looking at lv 3 & 4 the time for jungling is generally past. Or are talking maxing W before Q to get blink faster?
As a combat spell it's pretty underwhelming, imo.
10 Second cooldown on Sandstorm is no joke. It disjoints and gives you a bunch of extra damage plus a bit of safety after your initiation. A lot more than stats or Caustic Finale would give you.
It was better when the radius got larger, but I still no reason to get stats over it.

Sand Storm is a very good spell in fights. 100 damage per second is quite high for an AoE damage over time spell in situations where you get to channel it, and for when you don't the difference between a 40s CD and 10s CD on your invis/disjoint is huge.

early levels in caustic can be nice if you are mid/solo 1v1. Gives you a crazy burst potential at very low levels that some players underestimate.
Otherwise, there is really no reason to get any early points in it because as others have said, leveling sandstorm helps

cd reduction on sandstorm is necessary for wodota plays

I find myself maxing out Q/W and going for stats instead of E because W is already fairly solid waveclear and surviving longer in fights/having slightly more mana could turn out to be pretty important (in my mind). The advantage of Caustic over stats is that it lets you clear out creep waves much faster. If the game looks like you'll need to be turning into a high-farm position even after you get your Blink, then definitely max it out. Sand King can actually push and farm extremely quickly and safely like that. About 3-4 autoattacks and Burrowstrike kills the whole wave, and then you can Blink into the trees to safety. Sure, not as fast as (say) a Scepter QoP, but this is a 4-position hero we're talking about.

Regarding hotkeys, did anyone just adjust to their favorite hero?
In WC3 Dota, I randomed every casual game but only played a few heroes in competitive ones (local tournies, etc). My most played heroes were Pudge, QoP, and Shadowfiend. When I switch to Dota 2, I was a bit overwhelmed by the rebinds (cause I never used warkeys - always used numpad for items, even blink), so I just played legacy on Pudge. After a while, I got so used to that binding, I just made that my default. So I have T R E D as my skills, then just got used to different item keys (made it FGY and ZXC). For micro heroes, I'd go BW style with 1-5 as hotkeys (3 being courier).
TL DR: Pudge hotkeys became my default hotkeys for every hero.

I also played a lot of Pudge and tried to switch to T R E D as well. It never felt intuitive to me for some heroes though, so I opted for W E D R + T F. I used G W N R + T F for Rubick so I based it around that. Q Z G X mouse4 space for items. Still haven't gotten around to setting hotkeys to play micro heroes; I told myself I would do that after they fixed the boxing issue.

I still play SF legacy. ZXC seems so right on him, I dunno. I get Wodota razes with ZXC, and shit razes with default.

i dont understand how your hand has to be positioned on the keyboard for ZXCR to be comfortable I mean with practice and repeated use anything becomes comfortable obviously but some of these legacy keys are BW build pylon lvl.

non-legacy invoker seems so confusing, aren't the two keys based on the order you invoked them in?

For ZXCR, it has to be slightly tilted (kinda like how some CS 1.6 players played with a tilted keyboard). The right finger presses Z, pointing finger goes on C, and X is middle finger. You just regularly angle your hand so you can still click 1 very easily. I dunno, it was intuitive back then

And it's much faster this way since the 'd' key for last invoked spell is always right next to your qwer

Not really man. Only passives are on the right side of the keyboard, farthest active spell key is Y for coldsnap. Legacy is not really that bad if you ever played any RTS imo. I get why some people don't wanna use it tho obviously.

I think Axe's berserker call is better than Magnus reverse polarity. You could say that RP has longer duration, has damage but compared to BC it has lower cooldown and lower manacost.

Given the rest of the skills the hero has I think RP is better than Berserker's Call. Of course just looking at the skills by themselves is a bit different.
