This place stil remembers that we are all playing a game. Well Dota 2 you play a ton of different heroes, and with 100+ to choose from there are generally more than enough interactions to mitigate imbalance. Also you can queue captain's to avoid the bullshit heroes. SC2, if something's shit you're basically stuck with it. In general I find the Dota community is actually a lot more receptive to the idea of imbalances / things being OP. Can't speak for the last year or so, but when I used to play SC2 I found it almost comical how much backlash you'd get for suggesting something was over / underpowered.. I have always found it to be super funny how mad people get, like you kicked a kitten or something. But I'm sure it will be better this year and folks won't freak out amount professionalism to much. But if not, then at least it will be funny. Are you reffering to the whole "its bad for esports" era? That was pretty awful lol

Sorry for being slow. I don't watch much Liquid games.

I wouldn't mind some professionalism from the 2GD Studio or BtS casts.
If only because their casting has gotten terrible. 2GD guys would rather talk about their own pub games or random shit they did that day. Merlini and Zyori just argue all cast long, and somehow both are usually wrong...I swear it took Merlini a month to figure out Fear was on injured leave and Mason was the official stand-in.
I hope Valve changes some of the caster pairings up at TI4, or else...ugh.

heres me hoping its ld+godz, tobi+lumi and the third one will unfortunately likely involve ayesee + one poor soul

I love gryo, but no one plays him right at my level. If I see one more septer on him, wih zero damage items, I will lose my mind. But he is good for early ganks.

I just hope they don't do Ayesee + Tralf. Ayesee + Draskyl would probally be the best pairing for him.

I guess I'm a dick, but I can't stand any of the caster pairs at the moment and watch Dota almost exclusively muted. Although I kind of liked Lumi + Tobi recently, that was pretty good.

Lumi+Merlini did quite well in the past imo.
also I don''t see whats wrong with flaming people.

Merlini can shittalk, he has won a LAN before.

I like Tobi because he at least tells the audience that "hey, I've been casting for 7 hours straight, so this is where we get a little silly". I prefer that level of honesty in my casters and general openness to the production process.

Yes, so over the years the whiners have evolved and mask their whine behind more acceptable topics, it's a fine art. I just remember the "outrage" over the power of rat dota last year, demanding that PL be removed for the good of the viewers and that NP was evil. It was pretty fun. They were also fun at MLG.
i agree on the pl part. dont want those times. (meaning those 5 games that did happen) back.
