I stick with all pick. Right now the copy-a-pro meta for CM can't be that great. Also I really don't feel like having any of my two or three games come down to which captain is slightly less dumb (on top of the fact that I cant be arsed to captain).
Honestly I just don't feel like playing AA/Dazzle/Lich every game. Then again I've always had more success with more aggressive supports.

Don't worry about loss of mmr lol. I lost like 200++ mmr when i playing 1 day, and still recover back to the trench I were by randoming lol

You always get people who have a bad day or dont play seriously at all mmr ranges.

How much time someone took to reach a certain MMR is meaningless. You are not really climbing a ladder, its not like your rank is supposed to increase just because you are playing. Some people started at 5k, some people started ranked at 3k and will forever play at 3k, someone may have won 20 straight games and went from 3800 to 4.2k in 20 games.
It's possible going anywhere with playing support
I went 4.6 -> 5.1 playing lion and jungle doom "primarily" (the meka blink shiva warstomp kind of doom).
But then again, you do feel the most helpless when your team is having a bad game and you're the only one not feeding / overextending etc. but it's definitly possible

I think if you're 2.5 - 3k~ the people playing carry/mid etc aren't going to be as instrumental as those at 4.5+ though.
Though they'd be of a comparable level to the enemies team players, so maybe it levels out? I dunno.
I think if you truly want to get a higher MMR (+quicker) you are much better off not playing support (edit: In soloQ. If with friends, play whatever and enjoy it). Like that guy from playDOTA/joinDOTA or wherever who took the 2.5k account to 4+, i'm pretty sure he didn't play a single support game.

If your "natural" mmr is ~5.X then it shouldn't be a problem to insta-mid with SF/TA/whoever and smash out 2000+ points in short order.
5 games a day, have it done in less than a 3 weeks

The term "support" is so ambiguous. Pretty much any hero can snowball with gold and experience. I can't think of a hero who can't, you just need to get the right items. Players in the 2.5 - 3k range won't be able to last hit well enough to get that far ahead so it's possible to catch up.

I spectated a 3k mmr friend's game before and the carries on both teams had like 20 cs at 10 minutes.

I was told never to play All Pick in Ranked.

I play bot games to try out some hero builds and I didn't realize it was infested with tons of Russian botters. All they do is select NP, cliff-jungle in the same spot; afk for 20 minutes and then buy dagon 5 or whatever and farm kills on the easy bots before ending the game in 30 minutes.
