Wow, MMR doesn't take that long to equalize. On a new account, 15w 2l and people are already (claiming to be) ~4k ranked mmr or greater.

Nobody's claiming to have played ranked after 7 games, so that's not really a question. One of the dudes in the last game was the 2nd game on his account, and his normal account (Same name, most games played as TA, and had played TA both games on this new acct), according to dotabuff has most of his match history in "Very high", so it seems feasible.

If you are playing ranked with 15w and 2l, you have played 17 games, 10 of which would be calibration match. So someone claiming to know their MMR at that point would have played only 7 games before starting ranked. Unless you mean something else?
So you had the record, and your teammates claimed that MMR. Yeah, that sounds reasonable, not really that much diferent from whats expected. Several smurfs used to hit very high in under 10 games, and very high isn't that far off from 4k.

Unranked. Brand new account. I expected the calibration to be slower, but I guess I've only got SC2 / LoL's calibration as reference.
Looking through my own history, my first vhigh on this new account was at the 11th game, but the game just played (In which one claimed to be just under 4k, one claimed to be well above 4k, and another had an alt acct of the same name with ranked matches in vhigh) was in normal matchmaking, so who the fuck knows :D

bit sad that sneyking doesnt have many viewers nowadays. He had alot more before he did the try outs with liquid.

That's because SC2/LoL only use W/L as determinants, while DotA 2 uses other metrics when your uncertainty is high.
If in your first 10 games you consistently end up like 20/0/15 with most farm in game, there's a good chance you're smurfing.

It's like... everyone for the first few games played PA, and I can just smell that they once got supersmashed by a PA that actually somehow got some farm, and now are like "Oh, well clearly that hero is insanely broken, so let's play it" and then don't get farm or don't build right. Newb traps man, newb traps.

Do you also feel the need to defend other players? I do, occasionally. Like when people are flaming their mid, sometimes I'll jump in and be like "well, it's not really his fault since you aren't warding and he's getting ganked by Rubick and Potm constantly".

You can easily get into a very high bracket game after 1 game on a new account (solo queue). Within 5-10 games you can be queueing page 10-20 unranked games which essentially means your unranked MMR is somewhere between 4-5k (give or take 500). Smurf Detection stronk.
