He has only 1 skill that scales well into the lategame, which is the doomlazer(or "sunray" for plebs). The other spells do a fixed amount of damage/debuff and his spell costs all include hp cost relative to his max hp, so he is rarely limited by mana. He also needs a certain amount of levels in fire spirits for laning and sunray for teamfighting in my opinion. 1 point Icarus Dive, 2-4 points in Fire Spirits, 3-4 points in Sunray, 1-2 points in Supernova. Which puts the needed level between 7 and 11. I could wrong though, since I have pretty much no experience with this hero. He has the best looking ultimate in the entire game, though. It's just...wow. I can't express how awesome it looks.

Use ultimate more like a spell refresher at the edge of teamfight, or just to extend your death to force them into committing even more. Only use it situationally for additional aoe dmg. Only tried him in solo offlane, since i don't think he is worth the midlane farm. Best when laned against a melee carry and you can use a dying creep as a bait to hit your spirits.

One point Sun Ray is still always worth it simply because Sun Ray Drift allows you to float over impassable terrain and is bugged in DotA 2 to allow you ignore Ensnare/Entangle effects (they are supposed to disable Sun Ray Drift but don't in DotA 2).

It's clear across games that whoever(could be a group) writing for ESEX is very very good at it. I also appreciate how they don't just spam content but actually release funny articles/content.

That stuff is pretty hardcore (to me, I dropped it after i watched like 7mins of it). Google the meaning of 'yuri', but that anime is the version with little girls.
