On the Difference, i agree 1000 MMR should be noticeable, but there's too many variables in a 5v5 dota game to just take that.

KotL can work fine in no-stun trilanes (especially with heroes like undying too). That lane is pretty damn hard to contest even if the enemies have 3 stuns.
People's concepts of good drafts varies wildly at pretty much every level, including the pro level these days to an extent so complaining about that is pointless. Watching pro games and drafting pro lineups really doesn't make you more likely to win. Just because the pros are picking "carry X" doesn't mean its going to help your team more in every situation.
Whereas people who have predetermined ideas about what is "good" often aren't flexible enough to handle the weird-ass drafts that come at you in matchmaking.

I agree that drafts varies wildly but sometimes you can see if the captains has an idea, a clear set or doesnt even know what he's doing, I'm not saying Pro's are always right, but they're wrong not so often, and Dota is a game where the "meta" (hate that term) really dictates the picks and things for months, untill teams discover new things, go back to old stuff or patches change the game.
"can work fine" is also not the same as "good", and varies on what the other team had, of course most of the heroes "can work fine".
I'm just saying that at least IMHO there's more of a "not merely mechanical"/"game sense and understanding" difference more than a dfference in a guy hitting 75CS or 80cs in a freefarm lane. At least in my bracket.
Problem with Kotl Undying is that enemies can just dodge the lane and then you're basically stuck with two supports who cant rotate for shit, + one of them falls of hard. You really only should pick both of them if you want to crush an offensive trilane. Consider that you could also be picking wisp instead of KotL as mana battery + is a very strong support lategame + double soul rip heal is the bomb.

I actually had a really amazingly fun game with this guy last week, which PyrionFlax then went on to cast. Nice guy and pretty good. I actually took a screenshot when we all loaded in and he immediately pasted his 'I have played 2562384 games of Chen, I will buy all support items like smokes and wards, other supports should farm their own items.'

ya its actually the CIS Carnage league I figured out. Seems wierd to me though that you can get friends from tier1 teams to stand in if they are not in the tourney.
Why does XBOCT have 31k viewers and steadily climbing? I see nothing out of the ordinary except a lot of russian talk. Not bashing or anything, but this seems very unusual to me.
