What? OD should CRUSH Invoker.
This has been an explicit counterpick in tournament 1v1 before, even before the 6.75 base damage nerf. It's somewhat better than it used to be thanks to the change to ranged XP on denies making it slightly easier for Invoker to get XP, but it's still much more than a "slight" edge.
He does crush him 1on1 with no bottlecrowing, no runes, 1v1 rules, w/e. But in a real game, it's much much closer. Forge spirits can help with rune control. Invoker can kill the OD with just 1 support ganking pretty easily (coldsnap really good for 2v1 ganks), but not the other way around, so OD has to play a lot more careful.

When's the last time you saw bottle-crowing in an Invoker vs. OD lane in a real game.
We can do this all day. I say something, you say the opposite. If you think OD crushes Invoker mid I'm going to leave you at that. I don't really have much more to say about it.

dont be a retard od is physically raping invoker 1v1, theres no "but i think what i want" thing, ur simply wrong
how so od has better animation, better dmg, cant be killed by invoker alone, can kill invoker on 6 alone, has the astral lasthit advantage anyway all invoker has going for him is a measly forgesspirit which he cant even use much anymore if astral gets high enough not saying its a puck but its still quite uneasy
What about silencer vs OD mid? With glaives and last word, would it be quite effective against OD? I've only played that one match up once since ranked came out and found it to be a rather easy match up for silencer.

what? It's the same deal. You end up with no mana, less damage, and on top of everything your auto attack is garbage in comparison. He zones you out entirely and if he runs a bottle (which I see a lot of ODs doing now) he is going to have full mana and be able to eat the last words as much as he wants till you can't cast spells.
I don't think Silencer or Invoker do too badly against OD. With Invoker by the time OD has enough levels to steal enough int you also have enough int + extra damage from Exort levels to get by, and you also have much superior attack range + Forge Spirits to help. With Silencer you start with an Orb effect and much superior range that you can use to absolutely wreck him earlier, and still help you get last hits later.

its way worse than invoker, invoker still gets some damage from exort, and spirits + cold snap are pretty cheap mana-wise.
