people here really suck at yango baiting you need to express genuine confusion regarding a specific scenario that is explained by advanced mechanics and/or differences between Dota1 and Dota2 mechanics. Yango cant help but get all up in that

So u mean shit like the attack timer thingy that delayed LC?

yeah obscure dota2 bugs are also a good lure.

so does that mean yango can explain why luna couldn't use orb attacks in dota 1 and why it broke her attack cause that shit always confused me

How about the "paused" state? Is it ever coming to Dota 2? It makes a big deal, honestly. Now imprisonment/disruption cancel stuns basically, but they just delay it in dota 1, OD and SD are hugely buffed by that.

Does Chrono cause paused state?

Is it possible to blink out of chronosphere with puck's phase shift?

I think Chrono just stuns. Paused states are just the ones that completely hide the hero, SD disruption, OD prison. I'm not sure about puck phase shift.

The way phase shift works is that it puts you back on the map and only after that it carries out your command. So you can't blink out of Ice Path, Chronosphere ect. and sometimes DoT spells can cancel your blink out of shift in time. At least that is how it supposed to work, but thanks to Dota 2 Engine sometimes you might be able to blink out of stuff that you are not supposed to.

Yes chrono is a paused state, if you bash them in chrono in dota1 they'll still be stunned after chrono ends.
Also IIRC it is (or was) possible to blink out if you used euls before chrono was cast.

I think you can blink out of Ice Path if you're facing exactly the right direction.

In Dota 2, if you're disrupted as a juggernaut, and jakiro drops an icepath on you, the juggernaut can activate spin before getting stunned.

There are more stuff like that. You can use items and instant spells if someone stuns you while you're nightmared before the stun applies (stun will be casted, but you can BKB/Rage and it won't stun you, for example).

No, you definitely can in dota2 as long as you don't change directions.
But instant casts still get stuck (slark, sand king)

I thought the way spells like that work is they check every .2s (or some interval that's not every frame) and apply the effect to anyone in the AoE. Since blink is instant if you don't need to turn you'll have a pretty good shot of slipping away.
Reading more suggests that if it's different from DotA1 it's because DotA1 had explicit exceptions for things like phase shift. So it would specifically check for a phase shifted puck and apply the chrono pause to it even though they have a flag in general indicates they shouldn't be a valid target for the pause.

Normal dot effects, including icepath, does that. Blinking out of effects from phase shift if you're facing the right direction is not a bug. I'm unsure whether chrono triggers the same way. I don't think you're suppose to be able to blink out of that.
