i usually do some kind of soul ring -> phase boots -> eul -> aghanim build.
any suggestions? Arcanes/Bottle instead of Soul Ring. I'd rather be able to bottle runes and have the team mana return of arcanes than Soul Ring. The thing is after laning, the regen from Soul Ring becomes increasingly less useful and you're only using it for the active. The +250 base mana from Arcanes is also absolutely critical in you being able to get a full combo off. After that, you generally want Blink Dagger. Blink is enormous in expanding your gank presence. After Blink your options include Mekansm, Force Staff (team utility), BKB, Ghost Scepter (survivability), Necronomicon, Sheepstick (personal fighting strength). I see. I didn't get bottle because I only played him from a sidelane not as mid. So it's still worth it? If you Bottle-Crow, then yes. If you're too lazy to Bottle-Crow, then Soul Ring is probably fine. what does that mean ? O_O i brought my bottle with the courier yes but im not sure what bottle-crow is Put it back on courier when it's empty, fill it on courier at fountain, bring it back. Use it up and repeat.

bottle-crow means using your crow (flying courier/donkey) to keep transporting the bottle from u to the fountain and back to refill it, meaning basically you have an endless supply of bottle regen.

ah. i see.

Bottle Crow should only be used when you are in Dire-Need of it. I find it a very selfish thing to do, keeping the courier from your team being able to use it. It frustates the hell out of me when people use it because they are too lazy to get runes and are not being stopped from taking them.

Zzz, why isn't there anything interesting being streamed? Also, my friend keep picking heroes he have no idea of playing, i'm gonna have to tell him to either play a game on his own before inviting me or playing something he knows how to, it's getting annoying. (he had drums boots(not upgraded) and a point booster at 40 mins on panda ._.)

Trying to teach friends the game is one of the most difficult things to do if you are not new to the game yourself.

Especially if they are not willing to put to much time into it. I have a friend who plays 2 games a week tops and only with us, he just can't play for shit. You have to tell him whether his lane has any stuns, what their spells do etc. Not fun, it's the stuff he should figure out himself ;/

Oh, he's not new to the game, he played DotA1 and HoN, but playing HoN for ages has given he so many bad habits. I tell him that we have no vision and he shouldn't go X or Y way atm but go Z way, he goes Y or X way anyway and get killed and whine about things being broken...

That is how I feel when I play with my brother. He whines about heroes etc how it is just like hon and its retarded heroes. He is very hard headed and thinks he is always right.

Generally speaking, the courier has enough down-time that you can support 1 person on your team bottle-crowing. Particularly if your mid laner is getting decent rune pickups, there's nothing wrong with that person being a sidelaner. Obviously it's super-annoying if someone does it at bad times that interferes with your team's warding and such, but the same can be said of lots of things. Pulling creeps isn't inherently "selfish" just because shitty supports don't stack and pull at bad times that get their carry denied.

hmmm i think you should be able to deny axe 2nd skill? thought?

Their are very few heroes should have a bottle on the side lane. If they have a bottle it cause they are roaming and picking up the runes and ganking. A side laner should never have a bottle unless it is a potm, sf, tinker, storm, and rhasta. If any of these are side laneing they are soloing the safe lane. I am speaking in competive stand point of course.

I am speaking in competive stand point of course. This is hardly a rule, particularly as it pertains to competitive play. Especially in Chinese play since SMM2011, teams have increasingly been making use of aggressive bottle-crowing for sidelaners. Even for heroes that expect to simply stay on lane for a long time, Bottle has been used as an alternative means to keep sustainability in lane, especially as it's much easier to get to than RoH, and if used aggressively enough can provide HP/mana restoration for both the buyer and his lane partner, not just the buyer. 2+ bottles is hardly uncommon at all anymore.
Hell, even on junglers that traditionally have gotten Soul Ring like DS, Chinese teams have been playing frequently with Bottle-Crow jungling. 820 mentioned in his commentary of Starswar yesterday that jungling DS with Bottle is very much the norm right now, and that other forms of regen like RoH or Soul Ring are less common.

My point is you would get scolded in NA-DL bottle crowing on a support hero or a jungler. It is very annoying and if a team is doing it they should have planned that hey he is doing this. About the jungler thing I really don't know much about Dota 1 past SMM 2010.

I just imagined a game where a bottle is bought by a support and than used by whoever is in need at the moment via crow. Would allow for some very aggresive stuff but wow that would be hard to use to full potential :O
