The idea is to not get in range for him to astral.
Astral has 550 range, which is not so long, and he can only walk to you to do it, which is pretty obvious.
You just don't last hit with your hero, only deny your own creeps, when he comes close harass with eidolons and back so he can't astral you.
That's what i'm meaning.
EDIT: also, when I say "don't last hit with your hero", i mean "you do it with eidolons when/if you can". Obviously it won't be easy because of od's damage, but if he can't steal intelligence from you, 3 level 2 eidolons deal 72-96 damage, which is comparable to a level 3 od.

yes that worked good for h4nn1 on ds.
|
Yeah I guess DS can do it too, although he can't deny any creeps, so od still ends up with his levels.
How much of an impact would one less creep per wave have for od's levels?

I think it's enough to not make it worth for OD.

enigma might work, but i dont know how the eidolons stand against the massive OD attack damage. lmao enigma gets to cast eidolons once, never again not even with soulring With Soul Ring allowed, it's actually not that bad for Enigma. He basically just needs 2 Int to be able to cast Eidolons with Soul Ring (until the Soul Ring bug is fixed--technically it's not supposed to enable you to cast spells your Int is too low to allow you to, but it does in DotA 2). OD's Int drain isn't strong enough to get you that low until at least level 5. With a set of Eidolons up you simply can bully him because he can't actually win a straight-up fight with you, meaning that it's harder for him to leverage his last-hitting advantage. If he tries to stick around on the creeps, he can't out-trade 3-6 Eidolons + Enigma, even with Enigma having his base damage drained.
If you let OD get levels, it gets bad, but Enigma can bully a lot of heroes at low levels because having Eidolons lets you out-trade people really hard, especially since Eidolons can play tricks with creep aggro.
He needs to level Orb in order to kill Eidolons efficiently, but having Orb too early makes the lane very volatile for OD. Without Orb, he can't guarantee killing Eidolons before they split--rank 1 Eidolons have 180 HP and 2 armor, meaning you need 4 hits to kill them level 1, and will probably stay at 4 hits to kill unless you level Orb because their HP and armor both scale.

? Soul ring give a mana buffer so why shouldn't it work even at 0 int?

Because the skill costs more than the mana buffer.

In DotA 1, if your max mana isn't high enough to cast the spell to begin with, it doesn't enable the spell when you use Soul Ring because your max mana doesn't change.

I thought you meant why couldn't you cast eidolons with zero int.

I've come to love Windrunner as a pub hero. Need a support? Solo Offlaner? Solo Mid? Semi-carry? Counter push? Split Push? Want to gank?
Perfect for games where the 4th and 5th pickers just love to ignore the rest of the team.
|
indeed gingers are the best

Windrunner is my go to pick when I have absolutely no idea who to pick and I start to panic as the game is about to start. Unfortunately, I suck donkey dick at WR.

nah, i'd say its more the circumstances that lead to you picking windrunner that make the low winrate (team is so bad there isnt a good hero to favor into the comp)

Is it supposed to be a thing that if you get hit with enough damage at once, Abaddon's ult doesn't activate? And I'm not talking about getting hit with a Laguna Blade or something, just a Timbersaw casting a lot of spells very close to the same time.

At least you go with a solid pick. I am not very good at DotA 2 but WR is the hero I think I am most competent with. If not competent, she is the hero I most enjoy playing.

I thought that as well, but I think she depends too much on the rest of the team. If they're playing well she'll secure lots of kills, but if not she needs to farm crit to do real damage and by then they probably already stopped trying.

Enough damage can bypass the ultimate activations. HP 400 and got laguna till death'd.

...that's what he explicitly said was not happening.
How much max HP did abba have? Is it possible that 220 pure was enough to one-shot through the threshhold?

I'm not sure if this applies to dota2, but if the hit that activates borrowed time kills you then you'll still die due to the way the JASS is run. The hit that activates borrowed time does not receive the healing effects so if you're at 399 hp and take 399 damage that activates borrowed time you'll still die from the damage. It's kinda like getting Laguna bladed from >400 except it also wastes the ultimate since borrowed time triggers on damageEvent instead of your health pool. This happens through hp removal typically.
The real problem is how you got down that low without it activating because timbersaw can't do more than 250 damage in a single instance as far as I can tell. Maybe the chain+whirling death can stack if they're cast close enough together.
