realized that i havent been playing coordinated dota for so long. My skill manage to keep my stat all positive but clearly is no where enough. Gona grind this a lot more. Big shout out to bdiz for holding my hand T_T edit: like seriously, its either bc i dont know how this type dota is normally played OR bc I just havent been making decisions based on the input from my team since forever. Plus im not at all comfortable with the hero pool that they use. These games really opened my eyes a lot more edit2: also, I was nervous as fuck. If i didnt do so well they gona fucking unvouched me. Sweating my ass off so the early phase im pretty much stand still and wait for command. edit3: here are some of the small examples that bdiz taught me today: offensive tri lane with naga/alc often dont run with sentry but shout shield instead. If thats the case than the other support MUST be the one who is buying chicken/ward. I have never used to the separation between ward+chick vs smoke+sentry was extremely confused and costed them a remake. Next, he showed me how i have to get branches on VS even if im slot 5 so i could cast my stun twice at level 1. Tbh, the last time i played VS seriously were about 5 years ago back in highschool, to play that hero and have to refine it to such small detail.... I was extremely frustrated on myself. The game i fed fb was me solo mid weaver vs Mason's storm, my team know that mason gona win the lane anyway so sent me there as a throw away, the rest of them farmed so hard we got like 4 sheeps late game. I just acted as a bait meat shield that game :-/ | ||

Also you're really good, do you have any tips for an up and coming newbie who wants to make it into the big leagues? | ||

Getting a stout shield from starting gold on support naga isn't exactly ground breaking, if you watched Alliance closely during TI3. I could extract a ton of knowledge from replays with the scientific method of 1. see something 2. remember different takes on same situation(the alternative methods) 3. understand the player's choice. That's my advice. If you want to get better, do that. Stories about someone being nervous won't even come close to help you in anything, aside from entertaining you. | ||
