I disagree with this assessment. Each time I turn him on, he's stomping with some ridiculous shadowblade-on-a-support build. In fact, I've never seen him not get a shadowblade. If anything, this is evidence that he's reached a wholly new level.

Seems to me like he's developing perfectly, just not in a competitive direction. He's found a perfectly good way of making money WITHOUT having to try painfully hard to win every game, and so he happily just goofs off in every game. It's the ixmike88 way. Of course, it means his competitive talent suffers, but why does that matter? He plays professionally and enjoys doing it.

What caliber? He was a legend a few years ago, sure, but look at how Boxer fared against Yellow in the last Broodwar OSL. If you want an even more contemporary example, look at what ixmike88 does on stream, being a member of the only NA team to ever finish in the money at an International.

I've seen Merlini in person 1v1ing some really good mid players and not even getting close to losing.

He's definitely got the POTENTIAL, but he's not focusing on any of that these days. It's not surprising he makes some dumb plays.

I prefer him in analyst role. He's not quite got the enunciation for excellent casting, but he's great for game analysis.

Yeah, something like that. I think he also does enjoy non-standard play. Remember that team he had with Inphinity a while back? Didn't go so well, and I'm pretty sure that after that he decided to just have fun streaming.

IIRC Draskyl was on SK with Testie and Bdiz? in HoN. I could be remembering wrong but I think its right.

Try alternate goals for games that make you feel awesome.
I have fun the more towers I dive, the more successful these dives are, and the more effort the other team needs to handle me.

Or if you're lame you can try to find fun in a good kill/death ratio.

Does anybody feel like Necrobook is a bit underpowered? The other day Beastmaster was rekting my team in a game with Necrobook 3, and after I bought HotD on SF to convert the melee demon they ceased being able to win any teamfight.
