But in pub games, well executed hard lane 2v2 wins games given how greedy people usually are picking safe lane heroes. I used to always do this in pubs back in WC3 DotA. Usually we pick heroes with a lot of burst (Venge, Luna, Lion, Lina, Lich) just to keep the other two back. Pulling wasn't a thing back then. Then Huskar came out and just couldn't be bursted down. Darn. U know way back in pubs WC3 DotA magical damage was the way to burst down huskar Not in our games. If he's paired with a hero with a reliable stun he can kill the said heroes instantly without using mana. I remember the old Arcane Rings. How was that made again? Energy booster + recipe?

Thanks! Now we have boots for that. How times change )

you still described old huskar like the new one which is kinda obvious that you didnt know, dont need to try to be cute with some obvious attempt to distract

So is Aghanim's core on Huskar now? What do you build after Armlet and Ghost Scepter?
|
I actually just get Boots, GS and then straight into Aghs and skip Armlet entirely. Add blinkdagger after that. Been doing that since his remake and had pretty good success that way.

I think armlet is still a great item on husk tho, since the hero has a tendency to be low on hp armlet toggling can be very useful, and the stats are good aswell.

I feel like there are 2 core ways of playing Huskar - abusing berserker's blood's magic res and making him mostly a magic damage dealer by going aghs ghost scepter hood or abusing berserker's blood attack speed boost and going old armlet HOTD BKB with later upgrading HOTD into a satanic. First build lets you hit a timing in teamfights when you are not damaged by neither magical nor physical damage, the second one lets you hit a timing where your HP refuses to drop because you outheal and outlifesteal the damage dealt to you however it's not too realistic outside of small skirmishes until satanic. And with satanic it's no art at all :x

So the theory craft is like this: Magic cant kill me, build what ever else that counter non-magic-shits to survive and deal as much dmg in fight as possible. Ghost scepter is #1 ofc, completely negate physical damage. Armlet is just cost efficient in general. Heaven halberd: evasion is a big chunk of EHP, plus the raw+cheap str that synergy with your healing. BKB so you wont get disable.
Where does agh scepter comes in? well what do you do when you have to face an invulnerable huskar right click orb walk you to death? You buy a ghost scepter so he cant hit you. Thats where the agh come in for huskar, to deal extra damage while enemy ghost scepter up. Personally i never get to the point where i really need to worry about enemy ghost scepter since I could snowball pretty hard with huskar. Its also complicated to toggle your armlet mid fight between your 2 ulties so I just go straight heart for the raw tank power, plus its build up requires much less item slot.

I've been on a 8 year hiatus and thus wouldn't know much about the new Huskar. Sorry if I didn't portray my old experiences correctly. My bad.
