There is no one correct item for anything. Its like asking whats best of Blink and Monkey King Bar. They do different things. | ||

Phase Boots tends to be better in those cases where either you cannot get enough attacks in to make your attack speed practical all the time anyway (e.g. BH), where you specifically require the mobility (e.g. Juggernaut), or where you have an enormous source of attack speed that therefore favors having raw damage (e.g. PA). | ||

Carries like sven don't really need help chasing their target (inbuilt speed buff plus stun) but do need mana/HP. Also Gods strength scales base dmg which strength is, making treads always more damage than phase on sven I think. Carries like spectre, while she has an attack modifier that makes attack speed scale really well, I like phase on her just so that she can chase even better in fights since otherwise she is decently kiteable. | ||

You missed my point completely. I literally straight out said you can't decide before the game starts which one you buy. Just like you can't decide before the game starts whether you're going to buy blink or MKB. It depends on the hero and situation. I could help you buy going "if you're unsure buy threads" or something like that, but honestly it just further helps you not to think on your own. And thats 50% of the skills required in this game. | ||

There's a lot of variation to Night Stalker. You just have to try a lot of different things and recognize when certain items are appropriate through experience. | ||
