That should be highest damage possible. pudge wins highest hp and highest dmg as both is infinite No huskar wins highest damage as he can easily deal more than 100% of your hp. But we excluded everything that could deal infinite. so u tell me huskar does more than infinite dmg? what about a 4 bfury daedalus rapier sven on fatal bounded enemies who are all on 1 point Believe it or not you can create numbers greater than infinity, since infinity is just a concept. Easiest example is infinity x 2. Harder example is that a statement such as D is in the domain of all real numbers and E is in the domain of all natural numbers. Both are infinite, yet D > E because it takes into account real numbers (whole numbers, rational numbers, irrational numbers), and E only takes into account whole numbers. Thus for every two whole numbers there are infinite real numbers in between them. Making D infinity * infinity, and E only infinity (in this example that is). Thus if pudge is doing infinity, and huskar is doing more than twice that amount, huskar is still doing more damage. Just stop, please. You said about two correct things there - infinity is not a number, and there are more real numbers than natural numbers, even though both sets are infinite. Then right after talking about infinity not being a number, you start multiplying it by things. You also justify the idea that there are more real numbers than whole numbers by pointing out that there are infinite reals between every pair of whole numbers. While that's true, there are also infinite rationals between every pair of whole numbers, but those two sets (rationals and whole numbers) are the same cardinality - the same 'degree of infinity'. For that matter, there are infinite rationals between every pair of reals, and there are 'fewer' rationals than reals, so, yeah. /rant Regardless of how this debate works out, for me the answer is an agh's Lina Ult. The damage depending on outside factors like enemy health, or based on stat stealing, just feel a bit silly to me, and using a channel is just cheating. So my only real contribution is to remember to add the mask of madness debuff to the target. I was explaining HOW two different sets that are infinite, one can still be larger. Sorry its not 100% mathematically correct, but not everyone can understand unless you explain it this way. The point i was making that regardless of them both being infinite, one was still greater. ...no. You are wrong. Just, completely, totally wrong. Please stop, for the sake of us all.

No.

Corrosive skin build? How does that work?

Then I bet it's news to you that even though there are infinitely many rational numbers in between any 2 natural numbers, the set of all rational numbers and the set of all natural numbers are both countable?
Please, just stop.

okay guys seriously all of you just sound stupid. stop with the numbers and math talk.

some infinities are larger than other infinities if you have no idea what you're talking about don't try to correct other people
edit: well saying there are numbers larger than infinity is wrong but other than that he was right

I'll come back when the infinity talk is over...

Just used numbers for those who wouldn't understand it otherwise (as i stated). Other than that, the people who are getting mad about other parts are the ones confusing me lol.
Either way, done with this as is.

Nothing in dota does infinite damage. Somethings do an unboundedly large amount of damage, but it isn't infinite damage.

 How much will it grow?

We know there are different "degrees" (can't think of a better word) of infinity and we know that the set of all reals is uncountable and the set of the natural numbers is. My issue was with customkal's reasoning that "because there are infinitely many real numbers between any two natural numbers, therefore there must be more real numbers". Using this argument you could argue that there are more rational numbers than natural numbers when this actually isn't the case. Both sets are countable.
