Interesting change; will I still be put into games with other non-solo queuers as well?
iirc if you queue solo you will be put into both queue, unless you tick the box that say solo queue only on the find match setting
I didn't see this in the patch notes...
Can you opt out of solo? I play solo, but half the advantage of it was that you only got people who intentionally wanted to be there, so everyone tended to be more communicative and more interested in working with each other because everyone knew there weren't any stacks doing their own thing.
I've noticed faster queue times but a lot less communication since the patches. That makes me sad.
I have noticed slower que times if anything and others have reported it too(I know Maelk and Envy complained about it on Twitter if its worth anything).

Kipsate has been having this issue, as have I. It's pretty unusual.
Burrowstrike first. Always aim manually a bit behind the guy you want to hit. At least 1 level sandstorm, but maxing it second is recommended. Use sandstorm when you're in trouble(especially after you just burrowstriked into trouble). Relax and open this vid. 2 ways to cast epicenter: Channel and use blink dagger to get in. Or burrowstrike everyone who could stop you and immediately begin channeling. Passive makes things you have attacked 8 seconds before their death explode in a small aoe when they die.
Get blink dagger, to double the range from which you can burrowstrike people and to epicenter/dagger.

Max Burrowstrike is a must. Sandstorm/Caustic is dependent on the situation, generally you would max sandstorm first then decide either you add caustic for farming or skipping it for stats.
Items are easy.
Arcane/Blink/Veil or Aghs....or Ghost Sceptor if you need to live thru right clicks. Basically support items.
Wards all those goes without saying,SK is a position 4 support. He doesn't need items besides a decently timed blink, once he gets the blink he can go to position 5.
i think it is noteworthy that chuan plays sand king with maxed burrow strike, one level in sandstorm (at level 2), epicenter and stats. however in like caustic finale more in pubs to get a faster blink dagger
I tihnk with the recent fade time buff, you should keep the sandstorm at level one almost in every scenario. If you think you're going to be counterpushing, pushing or farming a lot, you might as well level up caustic, it should do a better job at clearing creepwaves than a leveled up Sandstorm. Otherwise, just take stats.
Also, what skill build does Pirate (the guy with 2k sandking pub games) usually do? I'm pretty sure he always prefers eblade over veil/Aga, but I have no idea about the skill build.
as far as i know, agha doesnt make the most sense in terms of damage increase on SK anyway. veil has a higher netgain in damage. however, i dont want to do the math right know and just wait for yango to wake up.
Veil does give you more damage than Aghanims. It even costs less, but it doesn't give you a load of HP and mana like Aghanims. Not sure how good eblade is in terms of damage.
Also, Aghanims is the easiest item to use. Using Veil is annoying.
Aside from just pure damage terms, you have to consider other factors though. Agha gives you a lot more tankiness than a veil of discord and gives you a 20 second reduction on the cooldown as well. If you have other allies with strong nukes, veil really is a much stronger pickup.
