I love broad sweeping statements... Not all observers are fucking awful. Well, GD had a dedicated observer I think, who was good. So I'll be more specific and say that they're all awful but him.

Have to say, Tobi has really improved in this regard, I think he's for sure one of the better observers now.

97 degrees. 96% humidity. To hot to play dota 2. If I click that fast my mouse is covered in sweat.
So, on to Dishonored, till it cools down.

haha, I love when you see a situation clearly brewing, and the caster just rolls the camera somewhere else, first blood happens of cam and the caster is like "ooops, sorry guys, missed that one" or trying to save it by "..... aaaaaaaaand here we see a first blood top by X, and Y on Z. I didn't catch what happened but I assume it must've been A and B and then finished by C. Great advantage for Team R now." zzz The amount of times you see casters actually look at a roaming support going towards mid lane to gank and then switch the camera to the free farming carry and miss the gank is ridiculous. yeah ... I guess it's understandable that they have a tough time casting and controling the camera, but ... they should try to pick up dedicated camera guys

That is funny, cause both skrff and weppas have been criticized the most out of all observers

My point is just I don't know why some people on TL act like it's some scientifc community census that visable rating is bad. Even in the main thread from ages ago its basically 50/50 in the poll http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=344795 .
I don't see why they wouldn't add this option that a large contigent of the community wants. Especially when you look at how LoL with it's supposidly casual playerbase is the biggest game in the world with this option in place.

its because as can be seen by valves policy on shit talking they don't want to hurt anyones feelings. adding visible rating just gives people more ammo. instead of them just playing bad you can call them shit from the start because of their low rating

have they not implemeted the vhigh / high / normal rate? I mean, they should make that easier accessable, but the exact numbers don't matter so much anyway. Even though I would certainly feed less if they had a k/d rate^^

Yeah the community not right about things. That's why Valve thought it be a great idea to change a bunch of different mechanics when they made CS:S because they felt it was silly to have those mechanics. Valve's not the be all end all, and they have been wrong before.
And he never said 50% of the community wants it, he said a large contingent of the community wants it, which is true. If it ends up that an open ladder ends up being successful, Valve's gonna have some issues. One being that everyone is playing on the other ladder instead of the in game matchmaking system, and two, there's gonna be the same issue that everyone else keeps parroting about. People are gonna be saying 'you're shitty I play in XYZ league while you play Valve MM lululululul.'
Instead of ever coming to that situation (which I do believe could happen in the near future, because people are kind of fed up with Valve's garbage MM system and lack of ladder/rating), Valve should just bite the bullet and implement it themselves, while also solving the 'toxic' community problem that everyone always seemingly bitches about.
