You are just comparing 2 random numbers too each other without any sense, there is nothing to grasp. Lol viewers numbers are bigger by a lot there is no reason to do random comparisons just so that dota looks better. | ||

we don't care that lol is popular - in fact we're pleased riot managed to bring the genre to such a huge audience. we all know which game we like best, (some even play both) and we respect and tolerate our fellow internet user if he happens to be in the other camp. we know that no amount of internet bitchfighting is going to change anybody's mind about anything. | ||

Even korean dota 2 players know that in order for dota 2 to thrive it needs to steal a large chunk of the korean LoL player/viewer base. We can pretend all we want that it isn't a competition, but at the end of the day that's exactly what it is. Riot knows this, so does valve, and so should you. I am not saying that both games cant exist along side one another, but i am saying that in order for dota 2 to reach the level must of us hope for, it needs to be done by converting HoN/LoL/RTS/FPS gamers. It is refreshing to know that the process is working and still growing, fans of other games are now becoming fans of dota 2, and we are seeing player streams that exceed 20k. last year that number would have been a pipe dream. | ||
