IRC chatter should remain in IRC - http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=tl.dota2

Posts that relate to topics with their own thread, such as in News, Tournaments or Strategy should go in those threads.

they sure did fix it.

The patch notes don't really properly describe the real bug. What was actually happening was that spirits generally just wandered around way farther than they should--and ended up chasing targets around 500 range further from DP than they were supposed to (you could have those ridiculous cases where you were like 1200+ range away from DP and spirits could still hit you).

It looks like Valve fixed them to just be hemmed in at the max range of the spell, which means that if they're exactly at the max range, they'll just stay on the same spot and keep hitting the tower.

The correct behavior is that the spirits are supposed to fly back to DP first before attacking again. I don't know why Valve didn't have this behavior in from the start seeing as it's just fundamentally how the spell works.

hahaha all this time i thought that was intentional

Tournament drops are rated by the event they dropped from mostly. Doublekill is the lowest tier, rampage the highest afaik.
Unless the item itself is a mythical that's what makes the price.

I sold my tournament drop for 10 keys, and one lowballer was angry at me for selling so cheap. He lowballed me for 3 keys, though.
The items was weaver legs for a double kill.

Hope this helps you a little.

This isn't actually a bug. As far as I'm aware it works like this in DotA 1 as well.

EDIT: Yeah, it's not a bug. Dev thread discussing this with proof in both screenshot and trigger code form -- http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=97209&highlight=abaddon allies

Why does the skill explanation call it "enemy unit" then? Sounds confusing as hell to me ;;

Because Icefrog is good at tooltips.

The PlayDotA description actually correctly lists "Any Unit" as a valid target for the skill.

EDIT: A very large number of the DotA 2 parity bugs are actually because Icefrog's tooltips suck. For example, the old bug where PL's Lance was missing the attack speed debuff--apparently IF thought "cripples" was enough to specify that the skill slows both MS and AS.

What would be the best 2 positions for a stack of 2 people to consistantly have control over the direction games are going.

Mid and Carry?

I'd say mid and carry, yes. Or carry and support in same lane.

Safe-lane carry and support for him. I think just focusing on winning your lane outright then picking up the rest of the team (if they even need it) is probably the safest bet for two people que'ing for pubs. Good support is really underrated as far as winning games goes. If I play a hard carry and I get someone who plays support well and we win, I always say that support person was the MVP

Make sure the carry has good aggressive potential early game too (Jugg's my favorite), not an afk farming carry. You can completely get fed in lane and participate in mid game fights when needed.

I dont think that you should pick a hard carry if your looking for game control. It makes you heavily reliant on a random support and even then you wont be playing someone with good map control. pick a strong mid + nyx every game if thats what you want.
