I honestly don't get the 'throws' flame on xboct, the dude has always been like that since forever, yes he made so many retarded positionings at times and he was indeed the weakest link back in the 'good old navi' team.

BUT, he is not the biggest issue in the new navi. I said that because the dude actually deliver almost every time when he was given the laning phase that he needed, unlike many of the pro carry players out there who could still fail hard if you gave them complete free farming (i dont really want to mention names here but for example someone couldn't finish a 5v4 game in 60mins *ahem*) so i have no doubt that xboct IS still one of your top na/eu carry players.

The biggest difference between old and new navi is that the old navi's #3-5 treated dendi/xboct as their bosses where they play the game around them, the trio of LoH+puppy+AA were amazing that I dont think people would disagree on that. Their teamwork and chemistry and brotherhood during TI1/TI2 made me such a huge fan of the old navi.

While for the new navi, there was one time i saw dendi needed to carry sentry+ward as a Puck and then today I predicted that Navi will lose when Puppey picked Ench, because a #4 Ench cannot be played like a #5 (to cover kuroky's ass).

basically 20mins in due to kuroky's selfless and thoughtful playstyle, despite navi owned early game pretty nicely, both puppey and kuroky have very bad economy (ench ganking nonstop and playing like a #5 while cm whoring gold to buy item but get killed). You cant play 3v5 against actual 'good team'.

Well, orange nearly throw that because mushi was having fun hunting in navi's jungle >_> prolonging the game to the point that cm/ench all got their items -_-

Gonna type my brief reason here:
Whenever puppey plays a #4 hero, he is actually playing #5 hero at the same time. Kuroky is abusing that so he can get his items, which is FINE on some super support hero like Rubick/Lina etc. However, a farmed CM would be....pointless, when they are playing against actual good team.

as soon as mushi didnt go extreme actor mode >_>

I am not saying that anyone in the new navi is bad or anything like that, they are all very talented for sure, but they simply didn't have the fluidity in their teamwork (especially that economy management) like the 'good old navi'. You need to adjust many things from personalities to playstyle to make a team works, especially when you are playing against some of the best teams out there.

Just look at [A], sickening duo EGM+Akke. They weren't even that good back in January but look at them now how they play according to their core heroes in team (very solidly) and how they have always been thoughtful and selfless for the team.

I don't think you can blame kuroky for "playing greedy". I doubt he's saying to his teammates "fuck you, I'm not buying wards", it's definitely a team decision to give him a bit more space. I think Blitz said it really well, that Kuroky doesn't really play supports as a 4/5, but as a poor 2, especially his Rubick. You're making it sound like that's a bad thing, but I have to disagree. It's neither good or bad, it's just a play style. I mean, would you say Bdiz is a better support, because he buys more wards than Kuroky? Hardly.

Although I gotta agree with the Enchantress point you had. I almost feel like Kuro should be playing the jungers on Na'Vi and Puppey the secondary support, just because the jungler gets more farm of the two supports, and Kuro usually plays the richer support than Puppey.

Nowadays I only play AR and RD and I'm having much more fun
Before this I used to play SD and RD but after almost 200 games I finally figured that sd sucks. Pretty much all my worst games have been sd.

Its probably where you are pulling them. The kobolds I pull at :53 to the right or north. The gnolls/trolls I pull :52 to the right. Harpies at :53 to the right since they don't stack up on eachother.

Okay thanks. But what about those frost thingys? those are the hardest I think.

in general, pull so that they start moving out of their spots :53. Since the frost ones will take longer to move since you will take longer to get away, attack a second earlier. Also note that the kobolds are a bit faster, but they tend to get stuck behind eachother. You can pull them to the right at :53 and they will barely get out in time, and be quick to go back, or you can pull them north at :53 and they will be pretty far out, since they won't get caught on eachother as easily. Don't pull to the left unless the trees are knocked down, but if they are, then there is a much larger room for error.

I played my first AR in quite a while and boy I had a huge amount of fun getting an all-support lineup versus a balanced team comp. RD is just an awful mess where people either still pick every strong hero like AP or instalock their favorite at the expense of the enemy team taking all of the good stuff (im looking at you firstpick Axe when batrider, wisp, etc are in the pool
-__-). RD is ok if you have a stack coordinating picks but I don't see why all the hate for all pick when people will still "tryhard" picks in other modes if thats what they set out to do or conversly pick out an awful lineup if they don't care about winning.

I avoid AP so that I don't have to deal (as often) with fotm heroes or stupid combos. It's enough already that I get matched against stacks, I don't want them to have vacuum RP
CM is self-explanatory. Very few people queue for it so it's pretty unbalanced and you can also get a shitty captain who picks a full agi team or something.
Overall, my favourites are still ar and rd

I've played dota for a long time and I had no clue what he meant. That just not readable unless you pick it apart and analyze it. Not a very good way to communicate

I understood what wairai wrote very easily, other question would it be why couldnt he explain his point deeply and with a good paragraph, but thats another story.

I dont think he used the best combination of words possible, but its something so unnimportant that we should discuss if Kuro is indeed beeing that greedy and not playing what he's meant to do or not. Just 2 cents.

On that regard, i think he's right, kuro is farming "a little too much", i mean you have a CM, one of the best heroes in the early levels of the game, no doubt, and this meta, unlike TI2 is much more focused on early agression and a good advantage, offensive trilanes are really common, and mid ganks too. I think he needs some items, yes of course, but he could be having a bigger impact before his item timings.

Well communication should first and foremost be clear-cut. Or in other words be self-exlanatory and precise.
We had chatroom abbreviation crap earlier today already, I think we should keep speaking in full sentences and full words. Not everyone is used to this nonsense.

I personally hate AR more than any other mode. Just now I got the equivalent of chen repick into meepo. I underperformed on my hero, got a lot of flak for it. Also we had Mountain Prophet with Dagon first.
Just overall I feel too much is changed if every hero starts with 853 gold. Think of all the heroes that can really abuse a soul ring. And in AR everyone can afford one right from the start. "Hero balanced around low manapool and high hp? Screw that, spam fissure, chaosbolt, fire blast, purification, spawn spiderling, storm bolt, avalanche anytime you want!"

Right now my group can't agree on mode selection. 2 don't like AP, 2 others don't like AR, 1 refuses to play RD while the others love it, we all have mixed feelings over SD. Captain's mode is too tryhardy and least played means queuing for 10+ minutes. It's impossible.
If nobody hates you, you´re doing something wrong. However someone hating you doesn´t make you right
