Because people on the whole tend to see item choices as far too black and white. There are a lot of tim es when Linken's is good. There are also times when its bad. I don't think there 's any item in the game that's categorically bad--so as a player what you should be doing is judging WHEN an item is good. | ||

That's basically why I started thinking about it. It's probably different people involved. I knew Linken's gave damage, in my comparison I was saying that Soul Booster didn't. I figured I'd actually give the Soul Booster a shot in at least one game and I was conscious that I could do with just a little more regen and a little more early damage, so I guess what people were pointing out was more relevant than I gave it credit for. I'm playing at a low level though so who knows what my experience is worth to others? There's also alot of theoreticals that could be discussed with regards to what the spell block is actually going to block (which was probably beaten to death in the former discussion), and the timings at which you get things (you can easily get a Vit Booster after Arcanes for more raw HP, whereas a brown boots + Ult Orb route to achieve the same thing is much more of a stretch, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to do that before the RoH anyway), but I think it's all too situational to realistically discuss in a vacuum. | ||

Linkens is way underrated. I will always defend it as an item choice, but it has to be on the right hero, and against the right lineup | ||

There are definitely certain situation where a linken is infinitely better than a 'casual soul booster' on certain heroes, If you think that is irrational defending of a 'shitty item' then I dont understand you lol. | ||
