it's based on kunkka's location
so it splashes in a 600 diameter circle (everything that has a number for aoe means diameter) ~300 units away from kunkka

ok I had assumed that 600 was the diameter, not the radius. 600 radius would be huge lol. TY for explanation, kind of embarrassed that I didn't know this given that I've played dota on an off for several years D:

It is radius. Test it with the range display.

what the radius guy said

AOE always indicates radius. Kunkka's level 4 Tidebringer will hit units up to 1200 units in front of him.

ok im wrong then
i always thought it was diameter cus enigma's ulti is 500 aoe
but it looked it up and that's just damage radius not disable radius
i wasn't sure tho so i probably shouldn't have said anything

Tried it with 3 friends, we played one game where we won very convincingly by offensively jungling the RoX.KiS enchantress.
Apart from having "competitive" line-ups it didn't feel very different from normal matchmaking, the queues for it seem quite long though.

Compendium MM should start somewhere in the middle of the game. Right after a slightly disadvantaged team gets roshan for example.

Its been bugged with me also, but i think its from the constant steam and dota update, ive had to update 7-8 times in the last 3 days, my headset also didnt work inbetween certain updates.

Now it seems better some games i can ping and my mic works, i tried checking through the dev forums but couldn't find a similar problem ( i didnt look very hard tho) .

Actually the second part here is wrong. because of the shape of the spell. it hits 600 units from the target so it hits 1200 units wide but only 600 units back.

So what's everyone's opinion on Dreamhack now?

I don't know if I was expecting too much, but I'm really disappointed so far... I mean, this is the biggest Dota 2 LAN event in the west so far, so I thought we were going to get something really cool from the production. Right now, this is basically the same as TI3 west qualifiers except with live interviews, bad sound, bad overlays and no live replays. It seems like the GD studio basically took hat they had in their studio and that's it. All we get is 4 camera shots - one at hosts, one at casters, ingame and overlays. Compare this to Starladder or EMS 1, you get shots of the players, you get crowd shots, etc. All this is very cool between matches, or when the teams are drafting. Where's all this stuff here?? The fact that the LoL crowd is right behind them and you can clearly hear every single cheer doesn't help, either...

Dreamhack is always like this. mainstage gets the best production.

It's a step back from the last DH in general production terms too though imo.

Oh well, games have been fun enough to watch so far with the top teams having to struggle a little bit,.

I don't see "Dreamhack is always like this" as an excuse. What's stopping the from setting up a couple more cameras at the players and the crowd? Or... anything apart from 2 static camera angles.

Unless I'm mistaken the Dota 2 prizepool is the biggest out of all the games, that's something at least
