For you its "clumsy and delayed" for me it's a part of DotA which I couldn't play without. I'd rather even say that the 0 latency in movements/actions makes things easier and more casual which I personally dislike. | ||

![]() its integral to the balance of the game as it currently exists. It would be nearly impossible to adjust them unilaterally without COMPLETELY changing/removing some heroes, which almost no one wants :p | ||

Even if they somehow managed to mantain the status quo of balance, it takes away the main mechanic of winning lanes in 1v1 situations. But I'm sure I would notice if they were gone -.- | ||

I actually really like the "Clunkyness" because it adds to the difficulty and "skill cap," its just a matter of preference/opinion. | ||

Dota fans are blessed to get a rehaul of their favorite game. Our brothers from bw tasted the great sorrow that's called sc2. Same with 1.6 and css. It's clear that we want dota as we have come to know it. We don't want no new mechanics or new turn animations or anything else. Just old, plain, perfect dota. Winter is coming. | ||

DotA1 was perfect to us. Changing it would be a crime in most of our eyes, we have a good game with a settled balance. DotA2 is going to be as much of an exact port as possible. DotA1 players generally don't want the mechanics of DotA to change, and seeing that there is 25 million or so DotA1 players, there's a bigger player-base in it for valve by porting it as much as they can ![]() They'll never get the chinese scene if they change too much either. If you removed the delays right now, the game would be unplayable for me for weeks. I'd have to adjust everything i do when playing a hero. Also, turnrates is only realistic as well, how can someone spin 180 degrees instantly? You have to turn around, obviously. But that's just a minor detail that i enjoy myself. +No turnrate makes me bat-rider a sad hero. | ||

What if Drow and Clinkz had the same animation as Mirana? Lina had the same animation as Mirana? The balance would change drastically. (Mirana as an example of a hero thats animation is close to HoN/LoL) (I could live without turning animations though) | ||
