And then you got into a 5v5 fight and could not tell what was going on. It was so confusing, every time I watched a casted game I would only look at the health bars during 5v5 fights. Yet for some reason it works better on an integrated graphics card than DotA2.

Alright, i've had enough HoN bashing for now.

Crush just needs to do a real amount of damage. Instant decent hero again. Actually, it would be nice if his ulti had either more range (say, match medallions 800 range) or didn't have its annoying animation (match medallion's instant animation). Either of those things would also help.

It is one of the top four "moderate" bugs that are listed, meaning it actually is fairly high priority. (The other is tower's BAT which keeps getting messed with, averagizer missing, etc. Armor was on there higher before those were discovered). The fact that it hasn't been fixed yet really is more of an indicator that it isn't a completely simple fix than that it's intended (it's not). edit - Also, it's more than a 10% difference. To get the effect of -20 armor in WC3 requires -50 armor in Dota 2. It's a little unintuitive- If you take someone to -99.9% reduction you're dealing about 200% damage to them while if someone has 99.9% resistance they're taking 0.1% of the damage (or to get all complex about it -99.9% reduction is just -50% EHP while 99% reduction is some absurd probably 1000% or higher EHP increase).

I'm not sure why you think Dota 1's system was so "unintuitive". It was just not diminishing returns (except past -20 obviously).

But Ice Frog needs to change Sprint. I have one suggestion: When I look at Slardar's current model, I see many resemblances to a Kappa, a elusive mystery creature living in foggy river areas in Japan's folklore. I want to intergrate the elusive aspect of a Kappa into the supposedly defensive nature of Slardar (whose name is Slithreen Gurad) and come up with a new skill which allows Slardar to charge forward with a max speed (or an increasingly speed boost just like the current skill) in 5 seconds. During that duration, Slardar will be immuned to magic effect but still take the damge (or vice versa, just so people won't scream imba) and cause enemies surrouding him within a area of 200 or 300 radius to miss 20% of their attacks. Cooldown 15 or 20 seconds. That skill will force Slardar's users to consistently use his kit more strategically and tatically, not just press the Sprint button to buff speed and be done with it. Basically, it will be identical to Riki's smoke in a sense but is adjusted to the objectives of Slardar as an initiator and a vanguard, who has to charge forward. It still doesn't fix his lack of farming skill though. On another thought, that skill does fix the lack of farming ability. That skill provides Slardar with both gap-closing tool and tanking capacity. Therefore, he doesn't need BKB and Blink anymore, or at least not as desperately as he does right now. He can straightly farm for damage items and be more effective with much less items, thus in a sense he no longer has to farm a lot.

The point being that a 50% damage reduction is very different from a 50% damage increase, but the same # of armor positive or negative yields the same numerical % of damage increase or decrease. Which makes no sense. As others have said, in EHP terms a 50% damage reduction is counteracted by a 100% damage amplification. So if I have ~17 armor or whatever 50% damage reduction is, then negative 17 armor *should* yield a 100% damage amplification for it to be the same effectiveness. Instead, under the current system it yields a 50% damage amplification which is pretty pointless although I suppose it emphasizes the "diminishing returns" part. I'll admit the old system made no sense either but I fail to see how the new system is too much better.
