I wish everyone would chill the fuck out. We never had these systems in ye olde bnet dota. Well, except banlist which was probably even stupider.

Either way that's an extremely high number and people seem to use the report feature much more often than it should be used. As far as I know you can't see how often you have been reported. There are no guidelines for reporting so I report behaviour that people can adjust and that effects my enjoyment. Things like flaming, spamming (mainly trade bots/people, probably have 300 reports on those), loading slowly etc. On April 21 2013 06:26 beef42 wrote: Much, much more. In normal pubs one just left if there was a person that was bothersome.

I never do multi account reports. I can't be bothered to sign in on all of them when I am in the game to play on one.

Just put the person on block. Ez. The tribunal thing from LoL is just hilariously stupid. Trolls are only effective if you allow them to be. Sure you can't stop them from feeding but in all the games I've watched and played I've never seen anyone actually just move and feed. Getting flamed or dealing with a loud mouth douchebag sucks but ignore makes it all go away.

It doesn't matter how bad someone is, if I can tell he's at least trying to win the game he's not getting reported no matter how much bullshit he spouts in chat, how many S&Ys he buys, how slow he loads. For this reasons I have less than ten reports in more than 1500 games. I think if everyone used the system like this, it would be a lot more effective in identifying the actual shitters.

Personally I only use it if it's completely clear that the player in question is not playing to win for his team, i.e intentional feeding, intentional abuse of wisp/chen/tiny/disruptor/etc. Anything less I can deal with myself through the mute function. I can even fight ability abusers with disablehelp, although they're still getting reported. Somebody actively trying to lose or ruin the game will drop in rating. The system handles them just fine. Leaving reports for things that detract from a fun experience. Of course you report for the first case as well since that is a more extreme form of anti fun but for those it isn't needed. edit, If they actually put out guidelines better than the current ones I would probably follow them. But as it is I simply ask if this is fun or not and if the person can effect it or not. I have very few reports made for intentional feeding since that is having a bad game and it doesn't detract from my fun.

As for needing chat. If they made it so one could see which lanes people are moving towards then I could live with a queue without chat. I'm pretty much in the same boat, but I dont care about battle points or whatever so low prio doesnt reallt change anything to me, but what I'm sick of is the better you get the shittier the player you play with so you rage more and get reported more too... When the only game you win in an evening is going 17-4-1* as a windrunner it really sucks. I can't get games like this every freakin game and if I don't we lose cause my team is garbage. Soooooo sick of it

EDIT: Not to mention that this online qualifier is at the same amount of viewers as EMS was, despite the differing skill level mentioned before.

It you do it by looking at views/days, suddenly the WCS thread has thousands of times more views. OMG DOTA IS DIEING

Standard Dota mentality tbh. People get so mad at this game that they hate people for the stupidest reasons. I think they also get bored of being on a waiting screen or being dead and need something to fill the time. Basically, chill out, guys.

Lol, wow, that's pretty sad. Are you intentionally trying to bog down the report system with frivolous crap? I also enjoy the "REPORT XXXXXX FOR ABANDON!!!1". I'm pretty sure abandons were never an actual reportable offense since the system tracks them. In effect you report yourself for abandoning and the punishment is low priority if you do it too much. Do you stare out the window and call 911 constantly at any slow moving person as well? Jesus

. I think games where I'd report people for being toxic in chat is in the single digits. I have nearly 1k games played at this stage and don't run into half the things that you guys talk, maybe I'm luck :S + Show Spoiler + Or I solo q very rarely hehehe
