That 6-sec spammable omnislash he has is so silly, but you can do a lot of cool jukes in conjunction with his ulti. He also has a similar ability compared to ion shell in that it does twice less damage but also provides a 500 spell damage shield, insane. All these "new" heroes Icefrog made seem quite strong if you look at their abilities, I wonder how much nerfs are inbound. They nerfed him quite a bit recently. I think he's balanced enough for cm. Most new heroes start off OP and then are nerfed into the ground.

The new heroes are indeed quite good ,though most people overestimate them at times, but it would be a shame if the game was homogenised for the sake of balance.

I mean I can't say much because I only fiddled with the new heroes a bit but even on paper their abilities look super strong. We'll see what happens when they're ported to DotA2. Or someone who plays a ton of DotA1 could give some feedback, Xin&Phoenix are sick imo ~

Whether he would be first pick/ban I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect he would be. Free better-than-a-Hyperstone for everyone at levels 6, 11 and 16? Not bad. . . It seems Arctic Burn and possibly Cold Embrace are the kind of abilities you'd use to win a lane 1v1, while Splinter Blast and Winter's Curse are teamfight oriented, so maybe solo mid into teamfighting after core items/levels. WW is a weak solo laner. He has good spells, but his base stats are really poor (41 average damage, 425 range, slow projectile speed, 285 base MS). Arctic Burn also isn't that good of a solo laning skill because it has a ridiculously long cooldown at low ranks. I've seen him have better effectiveness as a support.
