HOLY SMOCHKE Does your monitor display over 60Hz? Either way, dota 2 is a better looking game than people give it credit for. I keep getting like 114FPS on my 120Hz monitor... so close false alarm, shit are still fucked around 20-30 fps in real game. The autoexec.cfg only improve like 5 fps.... Man, i dont wana buy a new laptop either, this one is only 1.95 years old .... i7, 4gb ram, 1gb graphic should be able to run dota2 at lowest setting no? "1GB graphic" doesn't mean anything, unfortunately. I can't vouch for what runs dota at what settings though. GTX670 runs it at max settings at ~114 fps (2560x1440 res) is all I know. My complaint is incessant bad pings If I can get ~50 ping to some TF2 server in Chicago why can't I get anything better than 140 to any Dota 2 server in history? well, im on a laptop so i dont have much of a choice. 140 pings imo is playable. Not best but you still can play without any trouble. For me 200 ping is where i tell myself: well, its better to go into low queue than to deal with this shit.

I don't think there were prizes before.

If you are dropping frames on a laptop, it could be because your hardware is overheating. To help alleviate this problem, try getting a cooling pad. Basically it is just a fan you place under your laptop to circulate cooler air to your laptop faster than it would normally be able to do. CPUID - HWMONITOR is a good program to check your computer's temperatures.

Yeah there were. AtoD 2 prize pool was like 1/2 the DotaTV ticket profits or something.

got 7 last game. Its a bit crazy. Generally its like 2 wood chests 2 anuxi chests and 1 of the "rarities" chests.
I really do prefer the new method of limited chests getting "rarer" as time goes on (although I doubt they will ever be truly valuable).

Does that mean I should stop just deleting mine the moment I get them?

AFAIK the "hero" series ones aren't going to be like this, but the custom ones that used to be time-limited are. I'm not at all sure that this will make the chests "valuable" but its nice for my chests to not simply expire on me (see: Summer chests, TI2 chests, etc).
If you have no intention of using chests then just deleting them probably isn't going to lose you very much, except for if you find one well after its "end date".

whats the point of deleting them?... mass up a few hundred and u can trade em for some actual items

Hmmm, would prefer if that was legit...
Decent photoshops in that article at least
EDIT: eh, maybe I'm not being fair. Tobi does a lot for the community, and casts a lot of stuff that might not get cast by anybody decent otherwise. I just wish that BTS or GD cast every tournament ever.

But I have to say that GD does some really good stuff as well with the DH Invitational, where everyone in the studio and not just the "main casters" comments on the game. I really wish more studios would do that

Well but GD have like no real good caster, which makes them kinda bad compared to the rest

Personally I'd take Draskyl over... pretty much every other caster I can think of but I understand that its a matter of preference.

Really? I guess I just haven't warmed up to Draskyl yet, his casting isn't bad or anything but ... yeah, I think I just enjoy the casting of LD too much.

Draskyl does tend to have one of the better analytical casts out there while others still often rely on a co-caster to provide the analytical information. That isn't necessarily a bad thing though!
Personally I find it quite hard to rank them. Depending on how I feel I can listen to anyone from 2GD, BTS, Tobi (especially if with Synderen), and Sheever too. I feel some of TPL do need to work some variety into their voice though, else it gets rather monotonous. ^_^

LD and Godz are definitely in the running.
I think there is another caster that I really like but I can't think who right now. Maybe I'm delusional. TBH the TPL caster (blaze?) is quite decent as well.
